    Wee Davey Thompson

Doesn't anyone think he could have been a great little player for us for many, many years?

When he first came on the scene he looked a cracking prospect, good technique, nice skill,
decent engine and a great fighting atitude.

Where did it all go wrong for little Thommo at LFC?

"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

He was in great form player some excellent stuff and also had the passion for the club but i think he fell out with G.H or Thommo and that was the end of your career at Anfield like Jari Lit,Fowler,Anelka and Davie Thompson
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

Maybe he fell out with management, I don't know, but he's hardly set the world alight since leaving. That tells its own story I think.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He said himself that he needed a move to get out of his confort zone. He had gone stale.

And no he couldnt have been, Good but notLiverpool FC Good

he had a lot of potential, could have been a Houghton like player for us. Great crosser of the ball, good shot on him, pacey (ish) and loved running at defs. When he and Stevie broke through I thought we had 2 great gems.
Dunno what happened behind the scences but guess his chance of turning that potential into something more has come and gone.

The word 'great' is used far too freely

How great has he been for that massive club in Lancashire, since leaving us?

I thought he was a great prospect too.
At one stage when him and Stevie broke onto the scene at the same time, I thought Davey Thompson looked better.
Unfortunately for him, he fell out with GH and got sent off during a match which was the end of the line for him.
Injuries seem to have hampered his progress through the years though.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Your right, when he came on the scene he looked like he could be great, but he jsut never has realised his potential. Again fantastic prospect., slightly above average footballer. Like John Welsh.....wasnt he supposed to be the next big thing?

Well im not sure about Welsh, was hyped too, but never made any kind of impact on the first team. Whats he up to now?.

He joined Hull in the Paul Anderson deal last year.

Spot on mate, I really thought Thommo looked the biz for youngster at one stage, a lot more developed than Gerrard. I thought Stevie was goona struggle to make it at one stage

I think he`s a regular for them, one goal so far
Hull are not doing well at all, so I have my doubts about his performance so far.
