Liverpool will be without Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Glen Johnson and Pepe Reina for Thursday's Europa League tie at Young Boys.
The Reds begin their Europa League campaign in Switzerland on Thursday but boss Brendan Rodgers has chosen to rest his senior stars, ahead of the visit of Manchester United on Sunday.
Gerrard, Suarez, Johnson and Reina are all set to remain at Melwood, while defenders Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger and Martin Kelly and midfielder Joe Allen are also expected to miss the trip to Berne.
Reina, who is one game away from equalling a club record 80 European appearances by a goalkeeper, will be replaced by Brad Jones.
Rodgers is set to name a youthful side for the Europa League tie, with the likes of Samed Yesil, Suso, Andre Wisdom, Conor Coady, Adam Morgan, Jon Flanagan, Jack Robinson and Dani Pacheco all in contention to feature.
Summer arrival Oussama Assaidi is in line to make his Reds debut, while Nuri Sahin is also set to start.
Rodgers has included a few experienced faces in his squad, however, Jamie Carragher will captain the side and Jose Enrique, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing will also be involved.
