problem is at real time speed it always looks worse than it is, should really have been a yellow but you can understand why a red was given.

I know you are old school and all but I've seen much less tackles being shown a red and I can understand why the ref gave it. You can't complain if those are given against you.

It's really odd the way the ref handled the game, I thought Shelvey's earlier foul could have been a booking but the ref let it go, had he been booked for both I don't think we could have complained much. But having decided not to book him the first time, then not book Evra for the foul on Sterling, you thought he was letting things go but the red card was very harsh and a change of tack
