    That's good news.

I was worried about us putting out the kids and then getting gubbed by a full-strength West Brom team. If they've got that many injuries then we stand a good chance.

I think the worry is that get thumped may prove detrimental to their development rather than beneficial.

I know what you mean but we don't have much choice really. We need to start winning in the league urgently.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Yep, I'm in agreement. As I've said I think it's a risk we need to take, I was just explaining why some feel it could backfire

I actually think we'll do well, we've got some brilliant youngsters and given what Sterling, Shelvey and Suso have done recently, I think they will be feeling very confident that if they excel they will be given a shot in the 1st team.

It's been a long time since that's been the case IMO (even under Rafa).

Apologies if this has already been asked ... but .... is this on the Box ?

After Rodgers comments about Sterling getting too much exposure for playing for England U21’s, I’m surprised he has picked Sinclair. I’m glad to see it as he looks a cracking player, but surely there is the danger of a decent performance adding the pressure of being the next big thing. Again, I have no problem with this (despite it coming at Ngoo’s expense), but doesn’t really seem consistent with his comments about Sterling.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I tipped 2-2 which is me showing confidence in the kids.

Well they would certainly frighten the opposition

I'm happy we are going with youth. I just meant if we lost heavily there would be a media backlash, increased pressure etc. On the flip side, if we win, Rodgers will be praised for taking a chance on the youth. Big risk. Always great to watch.

Personally based on what I have seen with him playing for Germany U19 yes

I think thi also sends the clear message to the young players that if you give your best for reserves and/or academy you will get your chance with the first team.

I don't expect to see him play at all.

Personally it is only a reward trip with the first team (something similar Kenny did few times with Sterling last year) due to his good performances for academy and NextGen competition.

                                .
That's fair enough, but considering our lack of striking options I'd have though it much more useful to give the spot to someone who might actually be able to make an impact on the game or our first team. Having just turned 16, he'll have plenty of opportunities to gain experience.
