God is left footed but writes right handed. As a left handed writer (the key thing that needs to be a leftie) I was gutted to find that out

I write left, eat right, throw left, bat/swing/hit right, left footed and wipe my arse with my right hand.

It's pretty mental to think that just over a week ago Jerome Sinclair was 15 years old.
        Oh I don't know.

Downing got a lot of stick for last night. But I don't think he was terrible. He just wasn't standout.

He has a place at the club. Not sure what it is though.

Cheers Shaggy, thanks for the insight.

                nice one.

yesil looks a bit short on pace but like top finishers he knows where the net is and how to make that half yard. foster was lucky as hell with that one he hit from just outside the box.

High earners that are pretty much wastes of space. These young lads have come in and shown hunger and fight that puts Downing & Cole to shame. Downing was an embarrassment last night, could have put a mannequin on the RM instead of him and we wouldn't have even noticed.

Come January get these the hell out!!! As regards Henderson did ok yesterday better in second half.. although i thought Sahin just dominated the whole midfield and Henderson did the mopping up. For a guy we paid ÂŁ16 million quid for, first teamers ahead of him in the pecking order & with the talent coming through. Do people think its good for LFC in our current financial predicament & for Jordan Henderson himself if he is a bench warmer? Which he will be and rightly so. He could fetch good money still, obviously not as much as we paid but would people be happy if we sold Henderson in the summer and invested that money into other areas?
I'm not sure it's about hunger or fight, it's the ability to listen to instructions and impliment them on the pitch. Take Carra for instance. I bet he's been told constantly not to hoof it yet there was a point some time in the first half when he received the ball and just launched it from 80yds out of play behind their goal and gifted possession to them. With Downing, and my god I've supported him, he seems utterly clueless and unable to fit the system. Whether it's because he's thick or not remains to be seen but he's just a waste of space meaning the rest of the team are having to work even harder to accommodate him. The new lads aren't stuck in their ways and, without a reputation to go in front of them, are happy to follow instructions.

I'd be happier to finish bottom half this season with a team that will lead us to glory in a few years times and a sustainable system than have a sugar daddy come in and buy the title. The former is a long term vision and exciting to be a part of, the latter is only going to be the case whilst you're the flavour of the month. I'm so happy with the direction we've adopted this season and hope that if it doesn't go smoothly that the fans will keep off BR's back long enough and will show some patience. Whether BR is bearing the fruit of previous managers labours is irrelevant too. He looked initially towards Swansea in order to sure us up where needed, but since then he's showed that he will promote from within if he likes what he sees. He's bold, brave and will prove to be far more beneficial financially to the club over time. I can't imagine we'll need to spunk huge sums in the transfer window, it strikes me that the manager will nurture the young crop he has and will pick a couple of extra signings carefully.

I'll not ruin a positive post by going in to much detail but I also think that Suarez will be sold in January as he's not fitting the system as well as he should. I think with the system we're using the forwards need to be more clinical around the box. Suarez will generally try to trick his way in to a goal scoring position rather than play a one-two and he's getting crowded out too often, negating the presence of the other forwards in the process and making us too predictable to defend against. I'm a fan of Suarez as a player but wouldn't be at all gutted if he was sold. He's incredibly frustrating. I think what's kept him here so far is the BR is unsure of the reaction he'd receive if he was sold.

We sat here last night and worked out that he's only just starting Year 11 at school and so is in the year below my daughter. It just seemed mental, there's not a better word for it. I'm almost 100% certain that I own swimming trunks that are older than him

It is, quite amazing really, especially when you think that a year before that he was 14, i mean 14 ffs!

Cant quote from phone, but go back and watch the Suarez videos from 09/10 and remind yourself of how well he linked with Kuyt, Maxi, Meireles and Gerrard and the lovely one touch football we played. No way will we get rid of Suarez in January.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He can but he's been becoming more self motivated in my opinion in the last year. He's obviously popular at the club but he's guilty of trying too hard to do things on his own. It'll not stay that way I'm sure, hopefully BR will bring the best out of him in terms of how he performs for the team. I don't want anyone to think I'm questioning his commitment, work rate or desire as I'm not. I just think he's had his head down for months now and needs to step back and look at the way he's playing.

I wonder if we would have let Tom ince go if Rodgers had been manager then? I doubt it TBH

The comment was more to highlight that the age gap was sufficient for Carra and Sinclair to be a father/son playing for the first team.

Didn't think it was that obscure

I agree that his form has dropped, but I do think some fans are still far too critical of him. He was unplayable in his first year, voted our best player last year and currently top scorer for us in league and likely to finish there.

Plenty of room for improvement on current form, but no reason IMO to think he won’t get there.
