As I said in the match thread - the transitions from defence to attack are beginning to look extremely pleasing on the eye; the angles we are finding - and more importantly - we are aware of, is excellent. You can now begin to see the type of players Rodgers will be identifying and the current crop that will fourish under him.
I still have concerns with our defensive shape; there are still large voids of space behind the full-backs and there are still question marks around the defence - individual errors are causing us a severe mischief.
Suso is my new man-crush - he's just a delight to watch on the ball; his poise, balance and ability on show today was excellent. Sahin is controlling everything whilst hardly breaking a sweat and Gerrard is making some excellent runs off Allen. Sterling grew in to the game after a quiet first half, but that was mainly down to our approach play going down the right. In the second half, we switched and his pace and skill was our outlet and he showed great awareness in filling in at centre-forward when Suarez dropped deep. Wisdom looks a class act - at times making a back three with Johnson pushing forward - and looked more than ready for the first team.
Some really, *really* nice goals today - none better than Gerrard's when we played the ball around waiting for the right time, pulling Norwich all over the park and striking when the time was right.
What we won't do this season is win when we are playing badly which might be our main issue going for the top six.
