Just got back from the match.
Those were the 3 softest goals we have let in in a long bloody time. Downing was good first half but went missing again in the second and how he got a full game is beyond me.

Surely the defensive issues can be sorted out... we had one of the most solid back 4s in the league for most of last season, even without Lucas for quite some time, and we've managed to keep all of them. Enrique has had a dip in form and Skrtel is prone to uncharacteristic errors it seems but I really think we can sort it out between now and when Lucas comes back from injury. Nevertheless the back 4 badly needs him. I just hope he manages to stay fit when he comes back next.Comment

Just got back from the game, saw somebody said Allen had a poor game - he really didn't. He was brilliant in the first half, Henderson looked good fizzing passes around and Shelvey played with swagger (like a bowss). In the second half it looked like they had pressed right up on us, not letting Allen have the same amount of time to pick his passes and nullify Shelvey too. Downing was alright, can't complain about him.
We're so weak in defence, it was striking how much time di Natale made for himself in the box, juggling it before laying it off for one of their goals.
Gerrard didn't work, he seemed to disrupt the middle 3 rather than assist though.Comment

What happened is what has happened several times our defence showed a lack of concentration and that cost us the goals.
