As I see it,I don'tunderstand why a 442 wouldnt work with the same tempo and focus on ball retention.

I would use him on the right or the left, interchanging with another dynamic player like Sterling.Originally posted by kop-al-74 View PostWhat I dont get is this....if we buy an established striker eg Lorente in Jan,he would be playing through the middle....where is Suarez going to play?
We would lose so much of his strengths....can anyone see suarez being as effective as he is either on the right or the left of attack?
I think if an established striker comes, it will be Gerrard who gets less time on the pitch when everyone is fit.
Just an opinion

Today's game actually reminded me of watching us second half of last season. The system we've been working on seemed to disappear and we resorted to a mish mash of tactics.
Sahin kept turning his back on Reina and Joe Allen was not doing his usual tidy work with the defenders. We've always built from the back this season but today was different. You could argue that we mixed it up tactically but, from what I've seen and heard, Rodgers has a philosophy that he always wants his team to adhere to. Every game. Really odd.

Well, it's not in the version of the article in the News section.
And there's an extraneous comma in there, Shaggy's comma I call it. It's a dead giveaway.
Unlike the content of the edit, sadly. Worryingly accurate in fact.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

The other worry is I wasn't 100% it had been added in.
