yes but it also exacerbates another problem of ours which is nobody showing for the ball. enrique is trying to make positive runs and nobody is going short to him. damned if you do, damned if you don't try and get the ball forward....

What happened to the philosophy of getting the ball back within 5 seconds or what ever its meant to be then resting on the ball? We don't seem to win it back quickly enough. When we do get it back the passing isn't sharp enough. We need to start creating some actual chances, I don't remember us making one. Got to start playing with some purpose in this second half.

Its shocking the level of pressing and to be honest I see absolutely no evidence of any progression in this department.

Yeah, Sahin is not in it. TBH, I've not really been impressed with him in many games. Him and Gerrard are not the combo we need going forward. And Allen playing like a bit of a plank recently just makes things worse. We need to be bossing the middle to allow time to pick off forwards and let them find space. Gerrard and Sahin and Allen is not not the trio to do it.

It's not just defensively. They're hot garbage when we have the ball. Gerrard is a bystander, Sahin is hiding in his shell and Joe Allen is getting worse every week. He's started to make a habit of losing the ball and defensively everything just runs through him.

Seriously though he needs to change it as its just not worked. We can have all the possession in the world in our own half but we will lose if we don't score. Teams like chelsea only need one chance and will score

Pointless possession and at times we don't look comfortable on it.

Allen has been so poor the last few games, its getting close to him having as many bad games as he has good. Really like him but I can't figure out what the **** is up with him, his touch seems heavy and he's taking longer to pass the ball.

Sahin I actually think is looking okay, our problem is we have 3 central midfielders all in each others way and not really showing for the ball in any advanced positions.

The 2nd half can only get better (SURELY) we're defending so badly and we haven't tested Cech at all.
