I think it is doable but it will take a more attacking attitude. I really think that frequently selecting no forwards on the bench is a real issue.

We don't have any other forwards

Morgan and Yesil are nowhere near ready. Like so far from ready they don't make options a manger would ever want to turn to off the bench imo.

Some winnable games here and we need to start winning especially at home.
9-10 pts from those prem games

I can see us limping through most of the fixtures picking up the odd point or 3 until January.

We need to ensure we bring in striking enforcements on the first day.

It's hard to call really, looking at that list of games we could win 7 or 8 of them but we could quite easily win a couple draw a load and lose a few.

We're quite a tough side to beat at the moment in the league which is good but not getting beaten and actually winning them is something we've not managed to do so far and not sure if we're getting closer to coverting these draws to wins or not

We're going to be without Luis for a game soon as he's one yellow from a suspension and whomever we're playing then it's tough to see how we'll win it.

Frankly I'd turn to a randomly selected infant before Joe Cole. I don't think either are ready but I'm not sure it matters a great deal if you are throwing them on for the last 10 minutes or so (I'm thinking of the Macheda for United a few years ago type scenario). I really think that at the minute we just throw away one bench position every match.

I'd like us to climb the table (obviously) Put together some more consistent performances and get a bit of luck/refereeing decision or to be honest just fair decisions!

Just to give the season a bit of hope, the top 4 to stay inconsistent and us to have at least an outside chance of catching them.

If we're within 5 points of 4th come january, we have every chance. We're slowly growing into this season, whereas our main rivals (spurs & arsenal) are stuttering despite better starts than us.

We really need to get at least one in as soon as the first day seeing as it is that obvious we are well short in that department.

A pretty good fixture list to go on a small run that. I can see it happening, we really just need to get our last bit of confidence going by getting a convincing win or two, and Wigan + Young Boys could be a good start of that. Swansea is not easy but winable after that, and the Spurs is the hardest game left. With a good start this week we can get a good 15-17 points out of that lot I reckon and get us in to the top-8'ish by January.

Then we are in a good position for what is most realistic for us this season, a finish just outside the CL spots and some confidence to build on for the season after.

I think we're expecting a bit too much too soon. We won't make top 4 this year.
                          Are we winning?

It all depends on who we get in & how quick they settle.

I honestly can't see us finishing in the top 4.

After his performance against Anzhi, I'd reward Morgan with a place on the bench and try to find 10/15 mins in the odd game for him.

Whether we like it or not, Suarez will be suspended soon and someone will have to take his place and our choices are severely limited.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Russian press (and ITV) saying we're after Lacina Traore FFS.

                                I'd be surprised.
