I think buying a new top keeper should be a priority in January, or at the latest in the summer.

Whatever the **** it takes to stop leaking these soft goals. Time and time again two of the three central midfielders get left behind the ball and were ****ed. Sahin cannot play that role and imo nobody can.
Sahin was excellent. Wasn't his fault. We just should have kept it tight, kept the ball instead of looking for a third.
        Are we winning?

We should have consolidated and taken it at 2-1 inside of throwing midfielders forward in search of number 3.

Gerrard as our captain, as our most experienced midfielder, should have battened down the hatches not give YB the chance to launch swift counters at a defence containing 2 out of position midfielders.

In the grand scheme of things the competition isn't that important but it's worrying tactically and when most of your "best" players are on the pitch.
There's nothing wrong with attacking, it's a great way to protect a lead if you make sure you don't concede possession needlessly and keep your shape in the middle and in the full back areas. We just didn't do either of those. For me it was the players to blame more than the manager.

We would have won that comfortably if Johnson and Agger were playing.

Where's the pressing that the manager always goes on about. Non-existent 2nd half

A holding midfielder would go a long way to stopping the goals leaking.
                    We come not to play.

I wonder whether Rodgers told them to push on for a 3rd? I doubt it but did he give instructions to ease off going forward to play the game out at 2-1?!

Saw a lot of "under Rafa" comments before. Under Rafa we were almost out of the champions league at the last game of the group stage the year we won it So who really knows eh.

Im not singling out sahin but last ten mins he looked completely shot.

Its all to do witb rodgers preferred midfield trio and a one deep dm and two offensive central midfield players. If you flip it and play two defensive mids and one offensive mid then yoh stick and hold onto what youve got.

We just keep leaving the door wide open and give the.opposition invitations to walk straight through it.

Lucas will not fix this imo. Theres no way one dm can cover for two people. Its impossible.
