    Swansea (a) build up

Sunday @ 1330 - Live on Sky Sports 1 (UK)

    Liverpool League Games since...
    Win: 0
    Loss: 7
    Goal: 0
    Clean Sheet: 0
    No score draw: 5
    Score draw: 1

Hope we build on the Wigan result and Suarez runs Williams ragged after the "I want to knock him out" comment in his book. Tricky game, particularly with our defence!

I think we'll win pretty easily if we can keep something resembling a disciplined central midfield area.

      Brendan Rodgers
We think even Brendan Rodgers' biggest fans would agree that the Liverpool manager has a pretty high opinion of himself and his managerial abilities. Indeed, it is probably fairly safe to assume that in his mind, Swansea fans have wept every day since he left. Sort of.

However, Swansea currently sit in tenth place with 16 points from 12 games, whereas at this point last year, they were 13th with 13 points. We'd imagine they're perfectly happy with Michael Laudrup, thank you kindly. Plus, he has better hair.

Quite apart from this fairly petty point-scoring, Liverpool still haven't won back-to-back league games since December last year, plus they're yet to win a game following a Europa League tie. The latter point is slightly skewed because four of their opponents have been Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City, but a win at the Liberty Stadium would at least put that one to bed.

          Reina
          Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
          Allen Sahin
          Gerrard
          Suso Suarez Sterling

          I think I would probably play -
          Reina
          Skrtel Coates Agger
          Allen
          Johnson Shelvey Gerrard Enrique
          Sterling Suarez.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I thought Downing was more than able at LB. With Wisdom out I would go same as last league game but with Downing in. That means Sahin back on the bench.

Not sure about Assaidi to be honest. Last night's game summed him up a bit for me, initially looked lively & hungry & then disappeared for about 60 mins. Quick feet and direct but his crossing is woeful. Hopefully he will improve, still looks raw IMO.

Tough game at Swansea, we really need to win this one but not too confident. Was hoping few more Swansea players or manager would abuse Suarez so he gets angry and scores few goals against him , followed by his epic diving celebration

Drop Reina - Jones should be between the sticks. He did nothing wrong for me when he stepped in whilst Pepe was injured.
Can't understand how Reina just got his place back like that, he's not good enough and is prone to errors by an alarming rate nowadays.

Jones should get the gloves, Reina needs to earn his place, and not from past reputations of 3-4 seasons ago.

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

Gerrard should play the role Shelvey did last night. Reckon theres goals in there because he is a very good header of the ball as well as having everything else to his game. Suarez and Sterling cutting in the wings because Suarez will score no matter where he plays up front.

I want Gerrard upfront as well, an added goalthreat and when he drops deep, Suarez can cut in.
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

BR will not be under pressure if we don't win, we're on a 7 game unbeaten run in the PL in case you'd forgotten, admittedly we've drawn more games than I would have liked but considering our start to the season we're doing OK.

Agreed on Gerrard moving further forward. With Suarez in the middle i'd put Gerrard inside right with Sterling wide on the left. Just get him up there!
