What one position would you most to buy for after watching this game?

They kept and released the ball at the right time to create chances and advance up the pitch. We didn't as much.

They also flood players forward when they win the ball back and fill the box.

1 attack they had I remember the camera angle showed they had just 3 players back and that was just inside their own half, the rest had all bombed on offering options.

Allen and Gerrard have been consistently poor for the past few weeks. At least Henderson was tidy and kept the ball. I agree he could have done more at times, but overall he wasn't bad.

I would class hiding on the pitch worse than trying and not getting it right. Just my opinion on it.

Henderson is just not involved in games and offers neither defensive nor offensive ability.

Formation relies on players who can fit in. We still haven't got the balance quite right but I was expecting that. He needs more transfer windows.

Yes. And whereas we were committing suicide at the back on a regular basis, that is not happening anymore. So progress there. The centre of the pitch is a real weakness, but we have decent personnel so it's a bit of a strange one. Shelvey is a shoe in, Allen should be sat next to Lucas and that would be a very strong trio in theory. Gerrard sits on the bench and changes games from there. LB is still weak and we need better then Enrique. And a striker, we all know we need at least one striker. Henderson, Downing, Carroll to get shut of. And then the odd player to replace unexpected departures.

So plenty of work to do on the team over the next couple of windows, but not impossible by any means.

I thought we played well first half. Should have taken some of the chances we created.

Laudrup shifted things around tactically and we did not react well to that.

Allen needs a break. he is going through a bad run of form but he will be alright in the long run.

Sterling was poor especially in the second half but he is seventeen.

Stevie G has been off the races the entire season. We really need him to be back.

I don't think we played that much more poorly compared to last week. We just did not have a Suarez piece of magic to rescue us today. The number of draws is alarming though.

Michu and Pablo Hernandez for less than 10 million is a cracking piece of business by Laudrup and Swansea.

We do need to buy, but not for first choicers. I think we have those at the club. Gerrard is not one of them anymore and Lucas is injured.

I'd focus on a proper LB personally. And cover for DM.

Enrique looks good but needs to learn how to shoot with his right foot.

Sterling looked ok, always in 2 minds about crossing it in but it's hard to as we don't have any targets
