      pepe by a mile.

it's not just about being a captain on the pitch.

      he would be perfect.

I disagree. Stick with Vermaelen until Wilshere is ready.

        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I want our captain to be able to lead by example when the game's not going our way. I really don't think Gerrard does this well enough. I don't see him having a hands on enough approach during games either. Sometimes in a match there's times when we need our captain to motivate the players, gee them up a bit, put his arm around them and tell them to forget about a **** up etc. I just don't see Gerrard doing that.

Given all of the above I would honestly say that Agger is probably the best fit in our current squad, or possibly Pepe.
