Well, in the tactics thread I have frequently aired my concerns.

Today, those concerns were realised, and some.

There is too much space behind the midfield. We rely on keeping the ball, and when we lose it, we are invariably exposed. We did improve for a while, but today those flaws returned.
    Oh I don't know.

But we haven't suffered that issue in other games recently have we. Ever considered it could have just been a bad day? I thought our back line failed to deal with Benteke and that is what really caught us out today, he pretty much beat us to every ball.

And all of this would be less of an issue if we could score more, but we lack a goal threat.

I agree, but we have suffered this issue in maybe 40% of games. At home. That is far too high. Yes things were improving but today the bad side of things returned with a vengeance.

I have said that I'll only judge Rodgers at the end of the season, and I stand by that. But in my opinion today's performance was primarily caused by the way we play, and not necessarily the players playing badly (although that clearly didn't help).
        Oh I don't know.

see, this is exactly what i mean. but i'll leave it at that because it's a perpetual discussion that's been going on for too long already and there's nothing new to be added.

We're just about on form to escape relegation under this joker. After spending around 30m net on a side that finished 8th and reached two cup finals.
Rafa got 25 points from his first 17 games, after spending money on side that finished 4th. Should have given up on him at that point, should we?

We consistently finished in the top 4 & challenged for the CL. Don't see how anyone can even argue that we weren't an excellent team then-& far better than we are now.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

If you're replying to me then thats not what I'm arguing at all. My point is that Rafa's early days in domestic terms at least, were also difficult. We only won something like 3 more league games than we lost all season. I'm very glad we gave him time, though I'm sure many on here would have had him written off after 6 months.

Well yes, Rafa to be fair also had a stronger team than we have now.
