I wouldn't say Cole played that brilliantly against us but that it's even conceivable is itself damning given he was supposed to be playing for us at the time..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think Cole himself wasn't really that dangerous. Skrtel and Agger had outstanding games. The problem was stemming from our full backs and covering midfielders allowing Jarvis all the time in the world to put in cross after cross. If you allow this a big gangly donkey like Cole will look like he's causing you problems, when the problem should be sniffed out long before hand.
Again for me, this boils down to our midfield three just not being right at all. They don't seem to cover our full backs, they aren't tracking runners and they're not contributing in attack either. It's baffling really. Sahin, Gerrard, Allen, Lucas & Henderson. There's five players that some of the sides above us would happily take every one of them, yet they're basically non existent. Obviously Lucas needs many more games to regain fitness, possibly even the rest of the season before he can take any of the blame that the rest must share.

El-Mat, Cole wasn't made to look like Ronaldo, he was completely ineffective and offered little threat.

we couldnt get the ball off him and then diame went off and all of a sudden they lost all their strength in the middle of the pitch. at the same time we brought on henderson and the game turned.
up until that time both him and cole were having very good games against us. Skrtel has a problem dealing with players who are physically tough and quick. i remember nile ranger from newcastle making things difficult for him a year or so ago when he came on for newcastle.
lets face it - it was a massive disappointment and now rodgers has to pick up the players and get us going for fulham because they're a decent side. Just as you think we might be capable of doing something this season villa demolish us at anfield.

there was a lot of space for him to move into as the fullbacks had pushed up higher but we still couldnt get the ball off him. he still led skrtel a dance and until diame went off we were second best in every department and on our way to another defeat.Originally posted by Mattshark View Post

if rodgers has any sense, we need to send sahin back to real and sign this guy because he's a massive force.
we start brightly like vs villa but why does it all fade away and then we look clueless in the last 25 mins of matches. the opposition figure out what we;re doing and then we cant change our gameplan.

I mean, it was nothing like us having complete control till Enrique was injured was it.
And It all that danger presented by Cole that led to them only scoring from an OG and a dodgy pen.
Lets not forget the obvious pen we were not given.
But your agenda is not getting in the way at all is it.
We dominated the whole game v Villa

Sorry that was stupid.
I agree we dominated the game vs villa and still lost. That's what we need to work on. If we can't score don't concede that way you give yourself a chance of nicking something. If we leak goals on the counter we've absolutely no chance.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

I'm going to be honest and say that I think fsg appointed the wrong guy. Its no big secret that I think Rodgers has done nothing to suggest he can take on this job and make it a success.
The **** season were having so far in my eyes reinforces that. I think he's not qualified for the job but now he's here he's got my support but its not blind faith.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

No one is showing blind faith. Come out and judge him before the season is even half over if you want but don't try justifying yourself by implying that anyone who doesn't join you in dancing on his grave is blinded by faith..
