Before the game we were 4 points from 4th, now we are 7 points from the relegation zone. That's how bad and inconsistent everyone outside the top 4 has been, that is the only reason why we aren't too far away from 4th. Not the end of the world but just another bad let down against poor opposition.
Rogers has some big personnel decisions to make & has to start looking at our defensive frailties.

I'd much rather have Suso in at CM at the moment..than Allen or Gerrard. Gladly have a Suso-Sahin partnership than Allen-Gerrard. I know Sahin has been poor and neither Sahin or Allen can defend but Allen and Gerrard need a serious kick up the hole.... dropping both or them at moment is good for the team and both players IMO.

This is the thing that concerns me with Rodgers. I like what he's trying to do. I like his belief and its probably only because of our personnel that it's notworking effectively at the top end of the pitch.
The problem is that he's taken an area which wasn't really a problem (i.e. the defensive part of midfield) and made it the fundamental weakness in our team. He's not only not fixed the part of the machine that is misfiring but his tactics have managed to **** up the only bit that was working reasonably well.
Oh well, after he's had some money to spend in January he'll have no excuse. They'll be his players and his system so if the rabbit gets ****ed then it'll be on his headA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Play Suso and/or Shelvey until we find his long term replacement.Originally posted by cream View PostWho do we play then, not one of our midfielders deserves to play week in, week out.
There is nothing in Gerrard game any longer (except occasional Hollywood pass) that warrants giving him an automatic starting job.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

i don't agree. our midfield was soft last season as well. we were overrun easily and conceded many soft goals. so, he's not fixed it (yet) but he certainly didn't make it any worse.Originally posted by Rowan View PostThis is the thing that concerns me with Rodgers. Up until Lucas got injured (yeah, yeah. I know). We were pretty tight. I'm sure we had one of the best defensive records up until Christmas.Originally posted by fred_plasticine View Posti don't agree. our midfield was soft last season as well. we were overrun easily and conceded many soft goals. so, he's not fixed it (yet) but he certainly didn't make it any worse.
Dreadful after mind.
I do think that if we still had Mascherano things would be hugely different thoughA lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
