Happy with the win, but we MUST build on it. Carry on this good form and don't get complacent

I don't think they were anywhere near as bad as Fulham or QPR so I think it says more about how well we played than how badly they did.
Having said that, on another day they might have got back to 1-1 or 2-1 so although we ran out easy winners in the end it might have been different - tenser at least even if the same result.
In contrast Fulham did nothing and QPR were dead and buried before they even got anywhere close to threatening a goal (and even then failed anyway)..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think we are now at least making teams with clear weaknesses look like bad teams most of the time. I'm not sure we are yet a 'good' team in that we don't regularly capitalise on our superiority and also haven't forced solid teams (like Stoke) to look shaky, yet alone tearing into a side above us in the league."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Thought Stoke were fitter than us on the day.Originally posted by dww View PostI think we are now at least making teams with clear weaknesses look like bad teams most of the time. Can you let that go now? Fitter than us my arse, they wanted it more and pressed us superbly. And got a bit lucky as well (Skrtel slipping). We were shocking but the result had nothing to do with our lack of fitness IMO.Originally posted by Nigey View PostThought Stoke were fitter than us on the day."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." agree, but it must kind of make us wonder why they were so reluctant to put the effort in earlier. is it because of the transfer window and they are looking to impress a new manager...Originally posted by spud_gun View PostHenderson and Downing have actually shown in the last few games that they're not total ****houses and may in fact still have careers at the club.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Henderson has never lacked effort. Downing has pretty much admitted the threat of being sold give him a kick up the arse which is pretty sad really, playing for us on his millions a year should be enough, but thats always been his biggest problem.Originally posted by baitman View Postagree, but it must kind of make us wonder why they were so reluctant to put the effort in earlier. is it because of the transfer window and they are looking to impress a new manager...
