Disappointing, but just one of those nights I'm afraid. Difficult to break down a team with 10 men behind the ball and a goalkeeper having a blinder.

You pick yourself up, dust yourselves off and move on. Bring on Zenit on Thursday.

The Cout to get a hat-trick.

I think that was as bad a game Suarez has ever played.. Ever.

What could Rodgers have done? We made enough chances and had a penalty

            Too many poor performances.

Both fullbacks at stinkers, Suarez had his worst game for eons, Gerrard was ineffectual and Agger was dodgy at the back.

God knows why Rodgers took Henderson off. Totally baffling. Sacrificed our best midfielder on the night for a couple of attackers. Which didn't really help because we then started playing desperation football, trying to force it into the net.

29 points behind a mediocre Man U side.

We're mid table fodder. Capable of the occasional win, but mainly ****e.

Dire tempo, we'd have ****ted them if we'd have gone after them from the start, they were **** scared at the back whenever we got at them but we only done that about 4 times in the whole game. We've got some good players but ****ing hell, too many have an awful mentality. At least we can take the Europa League seriously now anyway, the league is done.

Gutless. Not physical enough either against bigger teams. Really disgusted by us tonight. They played like they just expected to win rather than making it happen. Johnson had the worst game I've ever seen off him. Enrique - it's like they forgot to put the brain in when they made him. Borini- no heart. Agger missed two brilliant chances then at fault for the goal. ****ing ****. **** off football

Shelvey shouldn't be starting league games for us, he just doesn't have enough in his locker I'm afraid.

well problem was that the subs didn't offer anything. neither sterling nor borini. courtinho, well, couldn't expect anything really.

Magnificent mind-games effort from Clarke, buttering us up over the weekend about how we're playing etc etc.
Lads go out there almost on automatic, knocking it about expecting it to happen

                            and then, BAM !!

                            ****ed six ways from Sunday.

Lazy, languid performance from a good few out there.

Agger shown up yet again, superb last season, him and Skrtel gone massively backwards this season.

Foster had a worldie though, 3 out of 4 at the back were woeful for us and poor Penalty. Should've been out of sight before they scored.

Taking Henderson off removed our midfield energy but we could have played all night and not scored. The Reid clearance summed up the night ahead for me,every other time that's skews into the net.

Games like tonight show why the games against City twice and Arsenal were points dropped not points gained.

We make trouble for ourselves by not scoring the first goal in games like this, sides are then encouraged and feel it could be their night, and it's ****in amazing how many of them score from more or less the only chance they have! after us having ten times as many or more up to that point!

We really need more players to step up and be more clinical in their finishing.

Sometimes though, nothing you do will win you a game, and tonight was one of those games, penalty miss set it up for them, but i'm not going to blame Gerrard, as he steps up more than any other player, just one of those things, but a big blow to getting 4th, which is a crying shame.
