We were ****ing ****e for the entire game and the minute they scored we just looked like we were waiting for the final whistle.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostLike in our previous 3 home games before this?
We dominated the game, we made good chances, we still need more players who can score however.

Rodgers reflects on Baggies loss
Brendan Rodgers admitted his disappointment following Liverpool's 2-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Monday night – but insisted he could not fault the efforts of his players.
Most Recent News Late Baggies raid stuns Reds Photos: Reds denied at Anfield Coutinho on bench - follow live LFC 0-2 WBA: Live updates and stats Sporting NextGen date confirmed Late goals from Gareth McAuley and Romelu Lukaku secured a shock win for the visitors after the Reds had dominated the contest throughout but were ultimately left frustrated by an outstanding display by Ben Foster.
The Baggies goalkeeper kept Liverpool at bay with a string of saves, including a 77th minute penalty stop from Steven Gerrard in front of the Kop.
Rodgers reflected: "The players gave everything in the game.
"After all the shots and attempts at goal, we just couldn't make the breakthrough - and the longer it goes on, it gives the opponent that wee bit more encouragement.
"But I can't fault the players. I thought they gave everything tonight - it was just one of those games where we needed that first goal."
In total, Liverpool had 25 efforts at West Brom's goal, with seven on target.
Rodgers added: "The players gave everything. We weren't at our best tonight, but we were certainly on the front foot and looking to create.
"It was a good away performance from West Brom - if you come, defend and keep the score at 0-0, you're always in with that chance.
"Ben Foster made some brilliant saves tonight that kept them in the game.
"I'm disappointed for the players. They've been on a terrific little run, especially here at home.
"We've defended very well throughout the season here and we're disappointed with the [first] goal. The second goal was one where you're chasing the game and you get caught on the counter attack, and he's put it away well."
The award of a penalty 13 minutes from time after Jonas Olsson had pushed Luis Suarez inside the box gave Liverpool a chance to take a well-deserved lead.
However, Gerrard saw his low effort turned away by Foster.
Rodgers said: "It looked from the side that it [the penalty] may have been a bit harsh, to be honest, but I haven't seen the replay of it. The referee has given it and it was an opportunity for us, but there is no blame on Steven.
"He's been outstanding and hasn't had many penalties to take [this season]. Again, he was very, very good tonight and it happens.
"He's got the courage and bravery to step up, but Ben Foster has made a good save."
Liverpool return to action on Thursday evening with a trip to Russia to take on Zenit St Petersburg in the first leg of the Europa League last 32 tie, before playing host to Rodgers' former club Swansea at Anfield on Sunday.
Rodgers concluded: "It's a big disappointment because we had two home games this week that we felt were opportunities for us.
"But we'll go again and get back in tomorrow. We've got a game away in the Europa League which we'll be ready for on Thursday and then come back, get ready and go again at the weekendMember #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

****ing ****e, ****ing fuming it with that
We are a shambles, seriously we are...cause every single disappointing result, draws and losses, are identical..same ****ing **** every week...we are mentally and physically ****ing weak
We've tried to play this fancy football, and part of me appreciates it, trying to introduce a style and type of football we want to see, but it clearly isn't working for us and we don't have anywhere near the standard of quality to produce it, so Rodgers needs to swallow his pride and try something different, try and find a way of getting the best out of what we have
Johnson and Enrique were ****ing dreadful, just clueless in what they were trying to do, first touch was heavy, passing poor, and then consistently just ran into trouble and kicked the ball straight at the first man...they both looked pissed
We took off Henderson and downing who, although only average tonight, were are two best players!
Fabio borini comes on for half hour and I don't think he touched the ball except for a miss that looked like a sitter?? At least sterling came on at the same time and tried to get involved, tried to get the ball, borini is just a passenger
Completely ****ed off with Liverpool ATM...it was ****ing inevitable, I said it to a mate the other day, maybe on here as well, we play arsenal and city away and are unlucky to not pick up 6 points! But promising signs and you look at the next three games, west brom, Swansea and is it Wigan? And you think, hmmm a chance here to get a bit of run, go and get 3 wins from 3...but even before the match I said we'd prob take four...a win draw and loss...it's ****ing ****ei own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Spot on mate. Even john Bishop looked more deadly infront of goal than Borini did. We've been stung by Roma again for another bag of magic beans.

The Borini miss wasn't a sitter, not in the slightest. Even if he did hook it in his left foot it would have been defended.
It looks like he came on with a mission and that was to stay in and around he box, he made run after run and was never picked out. With no final ball he was never going to get a chance to show anything.
When he tried to force it and link up play he struggled, but he did all that he probably could of. Still wont be up to match speed either as he gets next to no chance to prove himself. The times they are a changin'.

He has had and gets a lot of unfair stick imo but I do struggle to see where he fits in to this set up.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostThe Borini miss wasn't a sitter, not in the slightest. Even if he did hook it in his left foot it would have been defended.

Agree. Don't know what Brendan was thinking starting Shelvey.Originally posted by Gibbo View PostThe Borini miss wasn't a sitter, not in the slightest. Even if he did hook it in his left foot it would have been defended.

Disagree...there is a time and place for staying and singing YNWA, but every now and then the players, the club, need to know it wasn't good enough...I hope every single one of them involved, players and management, go home and have a ****ing terrible nights sleep full of images of watching the ground empty early, and it effects them so much that come back determined to never see it again!Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI think it reflected badly on our fans quite frankly.
Chances are tho, they'll sleep soundly tonight, in their mansions surrounded by luxury, whilst all is fans lie awake thinking where the **** did it go wrong and what do we need to do to sort iti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Yeah, to be honest I don't think he has a future unfortunately. Hasn't really had a chance though.Originally posted by Chazza View PostHe has had and gets a lot of unfair stick imo but I do struggle to see where he fits in to this set up.
Hope Coutinho comes good. The times they are a changin'.
