I'll come back to this after I stop laughing.

EDIT I: So, Moores who sacked Souness - the first LFC manager to be sacked in 38 years - didn't have the heart to make tough decisions for the benefit of the club? I think he let his heart rule his head on many occasion and when his heart *AND* head didn't have a clue, he turned to the wrong people.

EDIT II: Gerrard, Moores and Rafa are bigger than LFC, is there any body else?

EDIT III: How did you get to the figure of £500 million?
Answer to edit I: Souness should have been sacked a lot earlier but Moores didn't had the heart to do it before it was to late.

II: I didn't say that Rafa was bigger than the club. I didn't say that Gerrard was bigger than the club. I said that Parry was bigger than the club, not Moores. He didn't had the heart to sack Parry. Gillett and Hicks did that.

He let it again drag on and on year after year because he didn't had the heart to sack his friend Parry.

That is in my book putting what is best for Parry and himself before the club. That means that Parry was more important than the club(bigger than the club).

III: Say that we missed out at least £20m a year in CL money a long time because the club was run like a cornershop. £200m+ over ten years.

How much did we lose out in sponsorship deals over the same time? Impossible to say but I can't in any way be less than £15m a year. At least £150m over ten years.

Then you would have the selling players on the cheap and an academy that produced almost nothing for many years. Impossible to say how much we lost out on there but say £10m a year. £100m over 10 years.

You count on selling some young players from the academy for a few millions every year. That is a part of why it exist. To produce players for the PL team and to produce players to sell.

Then you count in the less income we earn because we haven't moved to a bigger stadium. Even if all of that extra money would end up paying for the stadium then it is a massive loss.

Sorry, you're right - I meant Parry, not Moores. But you did say Rafa was bigger than the club and I don't have time to search for any other snippets.

I forget this is the Aston Villa Build Up Thread, so I guess we should leave it there, but if you'd talked about lost revenue from a larger capacity stadium, I could have given you £100m there, but to talk about sales from the academy is just plucking at nothing.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Three points and to give our fans value for money.

The players should always give 100% in the league or they should be sold. How many fans will look at us live for the first time? The players have a responsibility to always give 100%.

Imagine if an eight year old boy watched us for the first time and saw some players not giving 100%. Then you can really talk of disappointment.

              It would be totally unacceptable.

In my book every player that don't always give 100% in the league should be sold as soon as possible.

Sometimes they won't be able to give 100% but they should at least try as hard as they can in every game in the league.

Three points and make us fans happy and proud.

I just think of him as and old fashioned guy who couldn't keep up with the modern world, and while I know that what he did was what he believed was in the best interests of the club. I think that it was that era that lead to us being so far behind the other big clubs. The Hicks and Gillett era made things worse, but we had already fallen behind the other clubs in alot of aspects. For me though most of the blame for this time doesn't lie with Moores but with the people he appointed to address these issues i.e. Rick Parry.
