Hmmm, assuming 30,000 season tickets, 1000 isn't a bad shout.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

30,000 Season ticket holders? Doubt that considering our capacity is something like 45,000. Id say it'd be more like 15,000 or so.
      *Except Michael, who died.

I will hold a questioner on Sunday if I can and see if I can get a thousand people for you
Actually you did make such a claim.

I have been offered 3 season tickets for next season already so this shows fans don't think progress will be made anytime soon.
You based your assumption on a sample size of 3 a somehow thought it was relevant.

We have just over 20,000 season ticket holders I can't give you a exact figure , could be as high as 25 ,000
I would to apologise for my stupid claim of 3 being any bearing on the progress of the club , I just thought it would of interest for real fans to know season tickets are being given up

And I claim that those 3 obversely don't think progress is being made shall work out how many fans I know and put that into a percentage for you

Think you're missing the point Phil.

Season tickets are being given up every season, unless we know there are significantly more it's meaningless. Telling us you've been offered three doesn't really tell us whether there are any more or less being given up than previously.

Season tickets are not always given up because there is no progress, you've pointed to significance of the price hikes yourself. So even if we did know the change in numbers of people giving up tickets, we'd still need to establish the reasons for it. Assuming it was a lack of progress would be wrong.

Well it's a first for me in 25 years being offered 3 season tickets before the season ends and not for financial reasons , as I stated so that gives me a indication that people arnt happy with the progress at this time , I can't see any other reason I would say this , it's a bit sad that I make a comment and its dissected and thrown back at me .
I will not make such stupid inaccurate comments again it was just on my mind and thought it had some bearing on this topic but quite obversely I was wrong , but in my opinion the mood is changing at anfield .

20000 or 30000 doesn't make that much difference to the sample size really.

No one is saying you're stupid. It's just that season tickets are being given up every season. It's probably not that rare for someone who lives in Liverpool and goes to games regularly to be offered just three, especially when the team isn't exactly on the crest of a wave.

It's disappointing prices have gone up above inflation but it's hard to know how important the hike is in making people reconsider their season tickets. The economy is flatlining and real incomes are falling everywhere and the local economy in Liverpool is going to be hit harder than almost everywhere else in the UK. While that makes the price rise worse, it's not the only factor.

And keeping prices the same would likely to lead to reduced spending power for Rodgers and that's not ideal either.

                    You might well be right!

All I'm saying is, I wouldn't be drawing such conclusions from being offered a few seasos.

All I can say is you just don't get offered season tickets by joe public that means they can't get there friends and family to take them , be it financial be it lack of silverware I don't have that information it was just I was in shock as you would be to be offered season tickets already .
Can I ask everyone on this forum how many times they have been offered season ticket of non family members ??
I think you will find its very few if any there is a 15 year + waiting list for them they are kept in house so they don't go back the club and be right or wrong in my opinion this is a rare event
: thumb up for your non demeaning reply : handshake

Me too. Rubbish view of the pitch though. Ideal given our lack of progress.
