Biggest regret though is probably not winning the title in 09 when I genuinely felt we were the best side in the country that year.

Has to be - for me, so far in the Premier League era, that was the best team to not win the league and ultimately were better than some teams who actually have won it.

I regret players we've missed out on through either terrible planning or a chronic lack of support for a manager:

Dani Alves

... and then there's the ill-spending of that £110M, probably the last big splurge we'll see for the forseeable future. So much of our demise has been of our own doing.
