I bet Rodgers is relishing this, coming up against a former European Cup winning Liverpool manager with a 'Messiah' status around him, adored and wanted by many to return to the Anfield hotseat. Rodgers strikes me as the type of person who'd have thought about this and cannot wait to pit his wits against the last successful Liverpool manager.

It will definitely distinguish who is the better manager of the two.

            I think you're probably right.

Quietly confident about the weekend. Suarez is due a couple of goals and our defence has been pretty sound recently too.

There is a Rodgers thread for you to slag him off.

And it ended nil, nil ... the exact same score line you've used to berate Rodgers this week.

If only we could be more like a Moyes team - winning all those trophies and games away at top four teams

Might need to create a separate thread, forum, website, for the fallout depending on the result.

They don't win any trophies but the last seasons they have had a better team mentality than us.

If we had the same fighting spirit week in week out then we would probably be playing CL football.

How many games the last seasons have our players not turned up? Even our Captain admitted that they didn't turn up in a few games.
