Yeah I did see that England were fourth in the fair play table (up until the end of December anyway).

Oh well. If that's the case then fair enough. No doubt the club will be aware of the current situation and have planned accordingly.

I just like seeing us in Europe and being on TV regularly.

It stops Sunday being ruined by yet another crap performance.

Seriously, do you need to ask? Many people just like it. That's ok surely.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Just never understood the obsession with playing on Saturday. Personally I'd rather we where on tv cos than I can watch the game.

Saturday 5.30 kick offs are the worst. Stupid time to play a football match.
              Oh I don't know.

We'd be standing there with our dick in our hands if we hadn't qualified for the fair play league and no pre-season tournament.

People piss and moan about Man Utd's Asian money press then piss and moan some more when we try and do something about it.

I'd rather we market ourselves to give us a greater base in order to make an assault on Europe rather than stretch ourselves thin because people think that being outside of Europe is like getting relegated to the 3rd division.

We'll still be playing on Sundays when we're picked for Sunday TV games. Not many complain about that.

As for playing at 3pm Saturday for non-televised games, I think people are just used to it. There's a rhythm there - if we're not on tele on Sunday then watch MOTD or Football First (unless we lose of course ). It's just habitual, easy, part of life.

Tv tends to be better than a stream to be fair.

So what you are saying Neil, is that people don't like things changing?

Good advice. I find it calming.

Absolutely pathetic if they are dismissing it out of hand for a pre-season ****ing tour. This club exists to win trophies. This is one. If we can get in, we should be doing it. He might just be making a rod for his own back with this Rodgers. If he does not make top 4 next year after a summer of investment and withdrawing from european competition, he could find himself in a very sticky position.
I will be fuming if we reject the chance to play in Europe. Who the **** does he think he is? Doesn't do well enough to qualify and would then be willing to turn down a free spot! I love those late night games at Anfield and its a cup we could do really well in. He's proven NOTHING as a manager, **** all. That is a very good place to be cutting your teeth and proving yourself, any stage of European football involves a more tactical aspect and I'll feel robbed of a few big nights out which is what its all about as a fan if we turn down a spot.

Rant over, not happy at all if he thinks we don't need European football! That's what this club is about, I've supported Rodgers but if that's his thinking he doesn't understand the fans or the club.

EDIT: I have only been told and not read about the situation so if its the club and not Rodgers then... Redirect my anger someone

Well Matt, I think that's an oversimplification.

I'm saying people don't like things changing when they don't see a good reason for it. And their good reason might not be yours.

                                Depends what you're after.

If better means spending a fortune, then I might disagree. If you want to watch it in HD and don't mind paying through the nose, or going to the pub every time, then that's fine too.

I currently pay for sport, but I am seriously thinking about stopping that now and watching it on streams instead. The foreign langauage comentary doesn't impact me at all becuse I usually tend to turn the sound off even when we're on Sky / ESPN / ITV / BBC / C5.
                                Oh I don't know.
