Im basically basing it on the games he has played for us. The question is not who has been the most consistently good is it? If you compare the two ignoring the games Gerrard has had extra, there is only one winner for me.

I see at as a contribution over the course of the season. In his half a season his contribution has been excellent, but others, such as Gerrard have still contributed more.

I honestly think he might be our POTY over Suarez next year though if he carries on this form!

His form since coming in has been brilliant, and its helped up kick on and become a better side.

I've voted for Sturridge, I think Gerrard was poor for the first half of the season but he's turned it around and been much better. However since he's came in Sturridge has been a breath of fresh air and has for some reason got a bit of stick at times.

I believe he has started 8 league games and scored 7 goals, which if true is a ridiculous return! Lead the line against Newcastle excellently in the absence of Suarez and turned the game against Chelsea on its head.

If he was here from the beginning of the season its not hard to imagine we'd be in a better position, possibly harsh of Gerrard with Sturridge only playing a handful of games but I can remember being so frustrated with him and a lot of people questioned he place in the side.

Same reasons. Also to add you have to pay top whack for league goals and hes delivered way under budget. Goals = gold.

I just checked and he's averaging a goal every 116 minutes for us (7 goals in 816 minutes), which is superb yeah.

If he was to continue at that rate for an entire Premier League season (and play every minute, which he won't as he's injury prone) he'd get 29 league goals
