    Although you did get Sturridge.
My prediction was 1-2 Liverpool, and I only got Sturridge right (one goal). He buggered it up with the third.

Coutinho & Sturridge are a huge boon for Rodgers and, allied with the other improvements he's made, the prospect of a good summer is quite exciting.
It's crazy. I think it's a bit of because he took over from Kenny and they don't like Rodgers' personality very much. I think Rodgers is ace myself.

Sturridge is the best English striker by a country mile. The man has so much natural ability.

Wrong. He has scored only one goal in the league this entire season. He has scored 2 goals overall this year.

Sturridge scored more goals today than Wellbck has entire season

Probably because if you just look at it simply we're not much better off in terms of the league this year even without a cup run to distract us.

          But its obvious he's addressed;

Lack of strikers.. Sturridge and Borini
          Lack of creativity.. Coutinho
Lack of goals.. 67 more than Tottenham and City

He can't do it all in 1 season and there are obvious areas for improvement, he deserves the chance to sort them out.

We need to sort out our back 4 and our goals conceded.
Add cover in certain areas like LB and probably cover for Lucas
          A winger that's a level above Downing

I was trying to get at that point but I wasn't sure Ridiculous really but Welback seems to be rated just as highly if not higher for some reason.

Skrtel was ill and Coates looked off the pace - which was an absolute guarantee since it was his first game for five months and had hardly played at all before that either.

That will not prevent Steve Bruce from buying him for 12 million in the summer.

Though with DBF retired, I wonder if his past players will continue helping out Man U by paying exorbitant sums for their ****e players.

You can bet Everton will though by swapping Baines and Falleni for Welbeck and Anderson.

In terms of league position there is little change we've moved from 8th to 7th, but if you look at the table there has been some progress: we have 6 pts more (with one game left), we've only lost 9 games compared to 14 last year and we've scored 70 goals compared to 47 last year. So looking at that IMO there has been progress.

Perhaps one reason for this is that we have been able to field a settled team and haven't had the distraction of cup runs, having gone out of the cups early this year opposed to two finals last year means there have been less games so players have had longer rest periods and we have been able to field our strongest team through out. One thing we haven't really seen from Rodgers or this squad is how well he could rotate if we are still able to win games when key players need resting, that is something we will only find out in future.

In terms of the football we play, last season I think we all thought we didn't get the lucky we deserved hitting the woodwork so many times might allow people to conclude that we should have had a few more points last year and be closer to where we are now.

My personal feeling is that there has been some progress but it has been slow, as much as I love Kenny, something about us wasn't right last year you never knew if we were going to be good or dire, I think Rodgers has evened that out, we are more consistent now and I think we are heading in the right direction, his signings are looking much better than Kenny's, and the team are mostly playing decent stuff. But I think the summer and next season will be huge, for us and Rodgers: if come the end of next season we are in a similar position I think we will be looking for a new manager. However if he gets it right I think we could be back in the top 4.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
