I think that was the most tense I have been watching us play since Athens. Unbelievable tension and I just thought that it would be the same old story.

The fact we held on is massive for the mentality of the group and couldn't be happier for the debutants.

Good win, and we generally played well. Happy with that, even if the defence looked a bit shaky at times.

Way to introduce himself with the double safe from Mignolet. And very nice goal from Sturridge.

Just happy we managed to win a game, we would have drawn last season from a conceed and lost a bit of confidence from. Manage to get the points even if we didn't manage to close the game early, which we should have done really.

I thought Stevie was quite average today. Lucas deffo bailed him out 2-3 times but he had his moments when he moved further up. I personally want him in the front 4 than the center 2/3.

Especially as I'm sure they were both scored with his left foot.

We were good today but same problems seem to be apparent..

Didn't take chances and looked a bit shaky at set pieces..in the end lucky to get the 3 points.

Better than opening day last year though, that's for sure.
