Oddly excited about this. Our smaller squad means we have to play the likes of Luis Alberto, Sterling etc - essentially our first team subs plus a few others. Should be very interesting.

I'd like to see McLaughlin get some games this season, he's going to be massive for us. We do need to be careful with the players we field given we're playing United next. I definitely think Sterling, Allen, Alberto, Borini and Kelly should start. I think Henderson should be in the starting line-up and unless he's on the verge of being sold then Skrtel needs to play too.

I wouldn't play Jones in this for no other reason than he's one of the worst goalkeepers I've ever seen

A bit unfair, he did ok for us last season when he had to come in. By no means a keeper you want starting league games but a capable number 2 imo
