I think the biggest issue is that you're going into tackles with your weaker foot which isnt good and if you try and use the other one across yourself you lose valuable time.

This I dont get.

Surely how you tackle is as much determined by the person running at you and the foot they are using in relation to their body, or the side they are running. Dont see how you are always using your weaker foot. A good striker should know the defenders weaker foor and run at that side if given the chance. Should not matter if you are slightly left or right of the centre.

Also, its not unusual to see them not right next to each other, usually one will push further up or step out if someone is running at them, so the chances are they will move across the line during the game anyway.

I agree about the angles and stuff though, Long balls and crosses or balls from deep could cause problems.

If I may chime in, I think we'll probably see Sakho (or as I call him, 'sack all') being bedded in playing alongside Toure. They can play their natural sides and communicate more easily in the same tongue. Toure is also the most vocal of out of the original group of centre halves.

But from Toure-Sakho and Sahko-Agger to Skrtel-Sakho, Skrtel and Toure, the defensive combos are just dazzling to contemplate.
