Midfield looks very poor...not sure if its the tactics, set up or personnel but I just feel like we are overrun all the time which is putting the back four under pressure

Desperate for Suarez to come back cause Sturridge looks ****ed and isolated a lot
One more game, and it's at home, and he's back

****ing hell that was difficult to watch. Reckon we need some extra fitness sessions because we look shattered after an hour in every game. Really just do not get it - are we tired or do we just sit right back after an hour and try and hang on? Decent result and top, so great.

Oh, and Ashley Williams is the biggest cunt of all IMO - took out Coutinho and that made his night easier the big oaf. So so so glad we never signed him.

Its a bit worrying tha twe have had four games ,and in all four we have been terrible in the second half after being dominant in the first.

Seems to me it stems from a collapse in the shape of the midfield. Perhaps it would have helped if Gerrard moved up an we brought Toure into midfield, but we need to do something, as our luck ran out a bit today (although Toure did not look comfortable at right back, perhaps his distribution sucks to the point he cant play midfield).

Thought Sakho looked shocking at times. Need to learn to stay on his feet. Shouldnt really have to tell a player of his experience that. Put it down to first game nerves, as Mig has certainly pushed on, and I would argue been our best player this season (ignoring the goal machine that is Sturridge).

We really need to be able to put in some good second half displays.

Shelvey sounds gutted. Poor lad, horrible game for him.

Eh, we have played Hodgson style football in the second halfs this season and we played excellent in the first halfs.

It is clearly a tactical change by Rodgers because it happens straight from the start in the second half in every game.

Why did you pick out what I said about the second halfs and not what I said about the first halfs? Answer that please

I though Sakho was very poor tonight. Noticeably one-footed. Criminally one-footed almost.

Game changed after Couthino went off.

Our ball retention this season has been shocking. Don't know what's happened. 10 points isn't bad but anyone who can't see the problems with the way we are playing are kidding themselves.
It's normal. We are trying to get the balance right between attacking and defending and sometimes we've got to roll our sleeves up and defend. Top of the league after 4 games does show that we're doing something right rather than wrong?
                      Are we winning?

I'd be giving Luis Alberto games before Aspas. Aspas really needs to have a sandwich.

He's been poor and when Suarez comes back I can't see him getting much game time. He looked decent in pre season but has been found wanting in the league.

What strikes me is that Brendan has lost a lot of weight and that Carra is quite the thesp; he's speaking more slowly and even pronouncing his 'h's. Some good arm waving going on too.

This is all a bit of a shock to me. Plus the fact that we've got a new goaly who's name currently escapes me. I like him though.

First half we looked good. Second half we looked ****e. Completely.

Yep, naturally. He did get a goal and 3 assists after all

Falling away in the second half again to lesser opposition and it's cost us two points. Sakho looked shaky to say the least. I agree with thoughts of Gerrard and Lucas not having the legs in midfield, sat way to deep inviting Swansea on after a great first half. Top of the league but left frustrated!

Good point in the end that. Sturridge has to offer more of an outlet when our backs are to the wall. Sakho settled into it second half. Wisdom was poor. Once coutinho went off, with Moses tiring, we had no-one in our fromt four who could hold the ball or string a couple of passes together.

Ultimately we are still not good enough to boss an away game with a few first teamers missing. Swansea are a decent team mind.
