I would like to have seen more from Aspas as I thought he was poor when he came on, and contributed nothing, we know he isn't Coutinho but we need to see more from him.

Moses better that I expected in the first half and was quiet for much of the second half, but it was a promising start to his time with us.

Sakho, I'm not sure what he was doing/trying to do, he looked as though he was playing his own game a lot of the time, and wasn't on the same page as the rest of the team, he made a couple of mistakes, and seems to like to come charging out, and doesn't always win the ball, which could be problematic. However he looks confident, but I think he will take time to get used to the league and his team mates.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

      I disagree. Strongly.

He's got the talent and the swagger. The only things missing are his ability to control his temper and his decision making, both of which should improve when he gets older and consistently plays.

It's time he retired from England - it's not as if he's going to win anything with them.

The central midfield needs rebuilding, we're crying out for a Xabi or dare i say it Carrick

I just don't think the set up suits him...both him and Lucas seem to drop deeper and deeper and neither seem to have the legs to keep it going for 90 mins

Not sure what it is, but something just doesn't quite look right for me in midfield

I am hoping as I've said in another thread, that when Suarez comes in, him and Sturridge will howpfully be so good it'll put the oppo defence under more pressure and this will have a knock on effect in that, then coutinho gets more space, then gerrard and Lucas get step forward a bit more pressing higher and giving the back four less pressure

I think that's it...Lucas/gerrard don't/aren't preesuring high enough...whether this is a tactic or down to them not having the legs to I don't know

Agreed. We have been poor second half in every game.

It's almost as if we don't respond to the other teams raising their game in the second half when they're behind, instead we stop moving and start sitting deeper and look for longer, outlet balls. I believe the onus is on the midfielders to try and exert control and start keeping hold of the ball.

Our game went to **** when Coutinho went off injured. Massive blunder bringing on Aspas for him, should have brought in a midfielder to help keep the ball. I have a major issue with Gerrard/Lucas. If they don't win the ball, they're useless, and today they didn't win the ball or kept possession. The game passed them by.

Swansea will take points off other top sides this season, as will other teams people expect them and us to beat easily.

We are, Still top. Suarez a game away from being let loose on our opponents. More cover in the sqaud. Other top sides below us. Good run of fixtures for Luis to score **** loads. Will get better. imo. er......erm.....Still top.

Wasn't great tonight but I thought he did well in the first three games. I think he's playing deeper to try and help Lucas. I think Lucas is nowhere the player he was pre injury and he disappears second half. No doubt some stat loving boys will come out with something completely in contrary with this view. We seem to get over run second half and he doesn't anywhere near the influence. Still our best player for that role by some distance and i like him a lot, especially his attitude, but world class he is certainly not.

So who will suarez replace in the team? Because without hendersons energy we will be ****ed. Man is a machine.

I disagree. I think our poor performances have been more notable in the games against Swansea, Villa and utd. We have dropped far too deep and allowed teams to come at us. We have bascialy resorted to giving up possession cheaply and something needs to be done about it.

He's been a passenger in every game except the manc game. Complete liability offensively and defensively. Lucas has been carrying him, though he hasn't been brilliant himself.

                          Alberto should have come on.

I thought Sakho was trying a bit too hard and is short of match fitness. His timing wasn't always there. However, very strong in the air and in the tackle. A bit too eager but this was his debut and not too bad at all. He'll be an immense player for us.

Anyone who has watched La Liga knows Aspas has clearly got much more talent than Downing or Assaidi and is normally a very competitive nutter. Don't know why looks a bit wimpish at the moment but he needs to sort it out and fast.

Sterling was poor when he came on and Wisdom although quite solid defensively was bad going forward. We need Glen back ASAP or put Kelly in there especially at home.

He is a machine. We definitely need his legs in there regardless of when Suarez returns.
