3 really tough fixtures out of the 8 -
if we come away with 4 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses - 15 points - i'll be quietly pleased especially if we can pick up another minimum 10 points from the next 5 games.
i know it's thinking quiet far ahead, which is why i am not looking at individual results too much but i'd say it's a realistic and achievable target to be
After Jan 1st
P 20 - W 12 - D 4 - L 4 = Total 40pts
i'd personally be quietly happy with that, looking at how tough december could be. Anything better would be a big bonus.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

god knows
- need a geek to work that out for us
but it can't be anywhere near 40 points
40 points, with 18 games left and one hell of a tough December out the way, providing no major injury concerns, and then add one or two in January, i'd be pretty excitedi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

13 games
looking at the results from last year - the big issue for us was the number of games drawn.
I am not expecting us to win every week - we will lose games, in this league, it looks like every team can pull of an upset
what is important is that we turn the number of draws we had last season into wins - 13 draws last season!!! if we can turn half of those draws into wins we'd have been much stronger.
i think overall, 72 points or more is a very realistic and achievable target and i'd be quietly happy as i feel at present, with teams taking points from each other all over the place, 72 points or more would show real progress and would hopefully sneak us in for 4thi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Our absolute worse case scenario above should be 3 wins minimum (Hull both times and Norwich at home with Suarez). Assuming we lose the three big games and draw the rest through tiredness I have us down as: 3 wins, 2 draws, 3 losses.Originally posted by PTP View Postdecember is a crazy month for us -

That still equates to 37 points and I'd be well happy with that. Secretly, with Coutinho and Johnson back, I'm hoping for a lot more but dampening the excitement for now.
Edit: December could have been much tougher had the big games been surrounded by the likes of Southampton and WBA. But thankfully its the Hulls and Norwichs.Last edited by BigChief; 07-10-13, 05:03 PM.One tit for another.

yeah i'd agree with that
i'd really be expecting four wins though - at least two wins from the three out Cardiff, Norwich and West Ham at home and the two hull games..
they are must win imo - thats minimum 12 points
and then a couple of draws in those three tough games would be great.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I'd put money on Hull taking at least two points off us, Fat Head Bruce always seems to manage to frustrate us, right back to when he was Huddersfield manager and gave us a tough game in the cup. I'd still expect us to pick up three or four wins out of that lot, though it's always dangerous to start looking at games and think they are easy.

I hope we learnt our lesson against Southampton at home. Liverpool have earn every three points and any team is capable of scoring against us, like shown against Palace.Originally posted by calvoboy View PostI'd put money on Hull taking at least two points off us, Fat Head Bruce always seems to manage to frustrate us, right back to when he was Huddersfield manager and gave us a tough game in the cup. If we get the mental aspect right I think we'll be OK for top four even.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I know people like using Southampton as an example, but its not a good one. They are 4the position not out of luck but merit. The management and the squad are continental and quite intelligent. They are nothing like Hull.
Not to say, like I did before Crystal Palace, that each team doesn't deserve due respect. But some teams require less fear. One tit for another.
