We really don't know that much about tactics and systems but we argue about that a lot.

They are fitness professionals but they still get things wrong sometimes.

True on both points, but we can at least comment on the game and tactics how we saw it ourselves. We can comment on how fit the players seem, but we know next to nothing about the actual methods

I will ask my wife when she get back from work. She is an expert in training schedules and how you should train.

She explains a lot for me but I'm probably to stupid to understand what she really means

It is very complicated.

I nood my head and train the way she tells me to do and try to get an impression that I completely understand why I do it, the training that is, not the head nooding.

As I said though, who knows? Our sports scientists are among the best in the business so I'm sure they know what they are doing. Does seem like the balance is off at the moment given our lack of energy in games and our injury count. May all be for the greater good though as the season goes on.

I would say we are lacking strong squad depth tbf.

Compared to the clubs we are challenging.

However, we are in a much better position than we were last year.

Compared to the last year and year before we have more squad depth but considered in context of our competitors we are still trailing behind in terms of depth quality.

Both fullback options, DM and AM cover are especially weak spots and hopefully we'll address some of those in January transfer window.

I hope that we don't sign up a new attacking mid in January because I want Suso to get the chance in that position next season.

I do hope that we sign up a DM in January. We should have signed up Strootman when he was available on the "cheap". Played fantastic for Roma this season.

Very surprised that none of PL clubs went for him.

Still early days but he's been great for Roma so far this season.

I don't know - at left back we've got Cissokho and Enrique, which isn't too bad. At 10 we've got Coutinho and Suarez really, when we're not carrying injuries elsewhere. DM isn't disastrous either with Lucas, Gerrard and Allen, though we could obviously do with another. It's just at RB where we have a huge gaping hole when Johnson is injured. Otherwise it's just too many injuries/suspensions all at once, and some poor selections by the manager in trying to deal with them.

If Johnsons contractual issues arn't solved, then he will be sold first - and Kelly kept for the future.

We'd be in real trouble if we do that. I can see us keeping Johnson on even if he doesn't sign a new contract. Good fullbacks for our system are very hard to find.

Johnson - we got good money and where able to buy a good, younger, first team quality, right back who would be on less wages - but who?

Kelly - if he's crocked and we can't get him fully fit and again we identify a similar quality player who is fit and we can get

Kelly is at the point where it might be an idea to cut our losses and give another young player a go. He and Wisdom have been around the fringes for a while and keep getting goes at fullback where they aren't well suited to the system. I'd rather we give chances to specialist fullbacks given how we play.
