Anyone else think that if the fans treated every home game like a big European night, it may influence and intimidate refs into giving more? We don't have the large intimidating ground of some others but noise could help make up for it. Mind you its been the same for years.

aspas playing like an invisible false 9 but err, invisible.
studge mostly coming in from wide right. managed to get in the box a couple of times. looking lively but frustrated and caught offside a few times. we need studge in the middle.
sakho lost at sea.
moses looks aces.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Yup my guess is that Brendan reckoned Southampton have no width so he would shut them out by starting 4 CB's, the problem is that when Pochettino saw our 11 he probably realised that it could be easily countered by getting both his FB's forward at every opportunity.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostCould have seen this performance coming the second I saw the line up, why couldn't Rodgers?.

There needs to be a change at fullback imo. Even if its to play Agger at left back and move kolo centrally with Kelly/wisdom on the right. Sahko does not look comfortable there. Or just bring on Enrique.
Southamptons high pressing is working for them, definitely need to try and stretch them with width.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

His hand is probably forced with regards to Enrique, he might risk him at the 60 minutes but I'd guess Rodgers wants to avoid having to take that risk. Not sure Sterling offers any more than Aspas though. Reckon we'll see Enrique on at around 60-65 minutes if scoreline stays the same. I'd rather take a punt on Alberto on for Aspas if he is subbed.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostCould have seen this performance coming the second I saw the line up, why couldn't Rodgers?
We should bring in Enrique and Sterling for Sakho and Aspas, that should have been the line up.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

for all points. Glen Johnson is so much more to the team than any of us (even his fans) realise. Coutinho is our one man club in the middle, Gerrard just doesn't have it in his locker any more sadly. And if we were going to be CB heavy then should have gone for 3 at the back.
One tit for another.

Don't think he should be starting any games at the moment, not when he isn't playing in his best position, striker, not when he hasn't bulked up and adjusted.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostAspas always fades into the background. All I've seen from him this season is running around a bit and some neat back heels that don't really lead to any end product.I wear my heart on my profile name.

We should be better than just one penalty decision. And Gerrard's FK was more centrally than I expected. Keeper shouldn't be missing those.Originally posted by foresterbloke View PostTo be fair we should have had a penalty and Gerrard's freekick save was something else. One tit for another.
