Totally f'ed up my evening. Just want to go to bed now. Those players should be ashamed . Southampton wanted it more, end of.

So much naively in the team. Ok, so we're being pressed high up the pitch ... Play triangles, use the keeper...once we get past that high line of defence, we'll be in the clear.

You'd think we were bottom of the league the way we were so nervous and slow to the ball. Ffs.

JUST TO CLARIFY - ENRIQUE WAS NOT FIT ENOUGH TO START AND THATS WHY SAKHO DID.

Sorry, but let's at least abuse Rodgers on things he has control over if we are to do so.
      Forwards.......

Putting it in perspective though we are missing 3 key players at the moment in Johnson, Suarez and Coutinho and have had to play a patched up back 4 yet again.

You can't defend the performance I guess but it's our first loss in the league this season and whilst I'm very disappointed 10 points from 5 games I'm sure I'd have taken before the stat of the season.

Need a bounce back now against the Mancs in the LC
It was a terrible lineup, performance, result and day in general. However we were missing Suarez, Agger, Johnson, Cissokho, Enrique and Coutinho plus Sakho clearly hasn't adjusted yet.
This was our first defeat in a competitive match since March so clearly Brendan is doing something right. Today was just a disaster on every level, it happens, but we'll bounce back.

Nothing said about any knocks on Enrique before the game and he was well enough to come off the bench.

I don't buy it to be honest. Don't blame Rodgers for saying it in defense of his decision but I don't buy it.

he has enrique on the bench. he must be ready to start. rodgers says he is 'trying to manage enrique knee injury' so limiting his playing time.
if enrique isnt good to go then why pick such a defensive, negative line up and play our best striker on the right wing.

and the lack of encouraging/berating arm waving is a major disappointment from our manager
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Sterling isn't good enough. He's not big enough or strong enough. On the rare occasion he is clear from the defender, his touch and/or delivery isn't sufficient. He was carried by Suarez last year who commanded extra attention from defenders, when Suarez isn't in the side and he has to beat defenders 1 on 1, he consistently comes up short. I'd have much rather seen Luis Alberto get 45 minutes where we had some shape as opposed to being thrown on at the last minute when all else fails. If I were Brendan Rodgers I'd be calling up to try and send Raheem out on loan in place of Suso.

Aspas is also incredibly out of his depth in the premier league thus far, he looks like he'd struggle to score in League 1.

                  Look at LFC today.

Then put in Enrique, Johnson, Coutinho and Suarez.

Ten ask yourself why we didn't look very fluid today.

                  Still not happy?

Well how about also considering this:

The deputy for Enrique is Cissokho.
The deputy for Glen is Kelly.
The deputy for Coutinho is Allen.

So we were pretty much down to the bare bones in certain positions. Maybe now we see why we weren't as fluid as normal.
                  Forwards.......

                      no coutinho no magic.

well at least reality kicked in, and its a good kick up the butt of some players.

Sterling is still learning and suffers from being ridiculously over hyped at too early an age. Unless you're ridiculously good or stocky at an early age, it takes time. He's in his rightful place atm, as a sub who can come on and offer something different late on. Almost worked too.

mate, you were doing so well until you suggested allen can cover for coutinho.

i know brendan has tried him there but that isnt going to work for him.

maybe allen could cover for the tea lady, who knows, eh

Lets at least get what he said right, he has a slight problem we are going to manage and in his own words, he chose today to do it. If he was injured he would have gotten 0 minutes, I'd have preferred to give him him a game off when we have another full back fit but I suppose Rodgers thought today was best.

Rodgers described Liverpool's performance as "lethargic" and said his side "never got going"
