Of course I have, of course

Maybe you missed the many posts by me that said that Rodgers is a young manager that need time to build up his system. I made so many of them that I got banned because I sounded like a broken record.

I'm have criticised him a lot and defended him a lot.

Makes no difference who we have in there if Gerrard is just ambling around the pitch conserving his energy for the World Cup.

My knee-jerk reaction: Bench Gerrard and Lucas for a bit, bring Rossiter up and play Rossiter-Henderson-Alberto for the next few games.

The main positive is that Luis now has 90 mins under his belt. Bring it on.

Gerrard is wasted playing deep. He needs moving up the pitch.

Thank god I know you're not being serious.

As for Gerrard, we controlled the midfield tonight. We lacked in the final third.
                  Forwards.......

I'm very serious about my knee-jerking! In all earnestness, maybe some fresh faces can inject some freshness into our play.

He does a better job than you think there. Move him forward and we just create a problem elsewhere. He played further forwards when at his peak and with Alonso behind him. With no Alonso he wouldn't get the service & he's not dynamic enough to charge forwards & create.

Well that's down to Rodgers, but he's still allowed (I assume) to expend some energy and get fired up. I still can't get to grips how 40-year-old Giggs wasn't shown up to be a complete passenger and liability playing with manc reserves against our strongest team. It's mind-boggling.

Didn't see the match but a further reason why final league position will be the benchmark. No excuses this year Brendan.

I'm boring myself with this now, so will make one post on the subject before bed, and not bother going near it tomorrow.

But was completely sober tonight, so don't need any stats to back up my opinion. As has been the case all season, Lucas had a strong first half. For somebody who 'only passes the ball sideways', he made plenty of probing passes forward and rarely lost possession. He came out second half, and was doing ok but looked tired. He then played 1 noticable poor ball (the only one that a certain sector of fans will have paid attention to) and let Kagawa get away a bit easily minutes later. He was rightly subbed not long after, but not because he was poor, but because he was noticably tired and also booked, so would have been a risk keeping him on. How that constitues as a **** performance or a mare because of 2 minutes of poor play, I don't know, but I fully expect more of the same to follow.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
