      Tonight was when we needed a Christian Erriksen in the team and I'm still amazed we didn't go for him.

          I reckon Lucas would have got sent off had he stayed on

          I am hoping that the players are all hurting right now and that we take it out on Sunderland on Sunday. The performance will tell a lot and Sunderland are likely to be buoyed with a good atmosphere and players motivated post DiCanio.

          I agree with above though - we have no cup comp now till Jan so shouldn't need a huge squad. I'm a BR fan but if he comes out with more ****e about the squad then he could lose credibility - especially if the likes of Ilori Alberto and Aspas continue not to play - that's the best part of 25m lids potentially pissed away!!!

          I would also put Ibe ahead of sterling - maybe it can motivate him a bit more but he's threading water at the moment

            Would have been nice to have both in the squad and for the price he went to spurs for we should have been all over that deal at the start of the summer. Without Coutinho our midfield and attack looks disjointed and having Erriksen would have made a massive difference Imo.

              Was a ****in no brainer if the fee was 20m......the fact that he went for less than 12 is a kick in the stones altogether....(consider how much we've spunked on ****e for the last 5 years!)

              Sigurdsson, Eriksen - both for the price of Joe Allen and the Moses loan fee!!!

                Borini = £12m
                Aspas =£7m

                Eriksen =£11m

                I knew not having Coutinho would be a blow but i never expected his loss to be as big as it has proven to be.

                  Sack Rodgers!

                    In the absence of Suarez I think he's the one guy the other players relied on. All they have to do is give him the ball and invariably he keeps it, turns and does something creative. A bit like Gerrard in the past..give it to Gerrard and let him do something magic. For the record i'm in no way comparing Coutinho to Iniesta here - but with his close control and vision he creates space and angles in a similar way - and Suarez aside we have nobody else who does that really.
                    Most of our squad are pretty terrible with their back to goal and only really Suarez, Coutinho and possible Sturridge at times (and Gerrard under Rafa but that Gerrard is long gone) link play well, so without one or more i think we play far too many straight or square passes and are a bit predictable for the most part.
                    Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

                              removing all the weak links makes us stronger

                                Is the measurement in Imperial Units or Biscan's Scale?
