Thanjk you.

So, SB, seems like Rodgers is on our wavelength after all and played Sterling at wing back. It worked like a treat and any thoughts Palace had of 'doing a Southampton' with his 4-3-3, i.e. push our defence high up the pitch, were dashed by Sterling's pace and position.
But as we all half (or fully) expected Sterling was poor defensively and in possession.
They doubled up on him (Moxey and Chamakh) but that left spaces for Sterling and Suarez to fill their boots - which I predicted in the pre-match thread. I wouldn't try Sterling at wingback against any other team though, they'd rip us apart.
Obviously really happy with the win but the 2nd half issues still exist. It was horrible to watch. Palace were never going to be as poor as they were in the first half but we sat back against a very poor side and let them play. Really frustrating.
It's nice to sit here being worried about a performance whilst we have won 3-1 and sit at the top of the league though.
Sterling really needs to up his game though. He was horrific today imo.
Just shows that unlike Arsenal we're not peaking yet. We're top of the table with key players out that directly affect our playing style (Coutinho and Johnson). Our second half performances are coming about for a few good reasons, and should easily be resolved within a month.
If we're still top then, God help the other teams.

Yeah he did ok didn't he. Not his natural position but that game was made to measure for him to be given a start. Kolo covered for him when need be as we expected too. Job done.
