I think it'll be really open this season. Any one of us, Chelsea, United, City, Arsenal or Spurs could win the league this time around. We're not expected to win it, which might go in our favour? I always expect us to do well, unfortunately recently it's been disappointing. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic this season. We can win the league, but I don't expect us to.

      So far we've played

      Stoke (home)
      Villa (away)
      United (home)
      Swansea (away)
      Southampton (home)
      Sunderland (away)
      Palace (home)

I think talk of winning the league is premature, we've got a tough Christmas period and end to the season. Looking at our fixtures, I think we'll either have to finish very strong or be around 6-8 points clear of 5th place with 5 games to get 4th.

I said before the season started we should be top after 10 games then finish 5-6 and im going to stand by it. Cant see who were going to dislodge from the top 4

I thought similar to you, but I think it will depend on how we've improved against the sides who finished above us last year. Beating United is encouraging but there is still a lot of work to be done, we can't afford many more **** ups like Southampton at home it will be costly in the end.

We tend to **** up against the lesser sides and we've done okay this season so far. If we can still get positive results against the better teams then who knows?

Let them worry about dislodging us. Once Coutinho and Johnson are back we will be even stronger and can beat absolutely anybody with our team

Its looking really positive and we have been playing without fielding our strongest team and we have yet to click this season. Unlike Arsenal who are really on form yet we are keeping pace. God help the rest of the league when we find our form.

Add a good January to the mix and we could be well positioned going into the second half of the season.

I'm not getting carried away by all means but the progress under Rodgers has been immensely impressive.

3rd and 4th place last season lost 7 games.

If we're still in the mix at the top of the table come January, and Brendan can pull off a couple of signings like he did in the January window last year, I think we've got a fighting chance of making CL.

I still think that Spurs might have issues in finding the right team, Man City blow massively hot and cold, Everton don't have the quality or depth to last all season, Chelsea are way less than the sum of their parts (I'd be really worried about them if they'd kept Lukaku - that loan was a massive error to my mind). As for United, I have a bet with a Scum fan at work who is convinced they'll finish top 3. I happily took that bet as I think they'll struggle to finish top 5. For me, the title is Arsenal's to lose this year.

It's wide open. I think Arsenal, Spurs and ourselves have an opportunity to capitalise on the other teams problems. I do think that City and Chelsea have the best squads to achieve this season. United are one of the worst teams in the top six for me, still can't believe they won the Premier League last season! They were very ordinary. That kind of gives me hope for us this season. Perhaps we can continue to succeed against the odds?

This. Keep Sturridge fit, keep Suarez out of trouble, and we'll be thereabouts. A choice signing in Jan could give us a big push as well, a la Ozil for Arsenal.

Three points is three points but our second half still stinks.

Henderson and Suarez our two best players by a mile. WTF have happened to Gerrard. If he isn't interested then bench him. Totally unacceptable to be as lazy as he is in some games.

Yesterday he lost his player at the corner. He also didn't even try to block a shoot when he had a clear chance to do it, it looked like he didn't care at all.

When Coutinho gets back then I would like to see Lucas and Henderson in the middle and Gerrard on the bench.

Rodgers must show that Gerrards no shows is unacceptable.

I think Gerrard is the main reason to why we struggle in the second half of the games. Other players must cover his position that he is to lazy to cover and the tactics and system falls apart because of it.
