    Feel Good Factor

I don't often start threads but feel like I have to.

After almost falling out of love with football for what seems like ages it finally feels good to be a Liverpool supporter again.

It might just be the high after a great win but it really feels like we're on the verge of something very special.

We have a manager who understands the club and understands his responsibilities, his response to Ferguson's criticisms in his book has shown me how far he's come. There were no sound bites, just a well reasoned response that made Ferguson look like a bitter old fool.

We have owners who are willing to back their man and stand their ground when it comes to keeping our best players. They didn't get everything right to start off with but they've learnt from their mistakes.

The squad is now much stronger than it has been for a long time, our first XI is a match for anyone's at the moment, it feels like we have some genuine options on the bench too and we finally seem to be winning matches that we should be winning!

We have by far the best strike partnership in the league, if not Europe, despite what Alan Hansen and Robbie Savage might have you believe!

Sturridge continues to prove his doubters wrong and Suarez is probably THE in-form player in Europe at the moment.

To top all this off...David Moyes is managing Man United.

All in all, it's a really good time to be a Liverpool supporter and long may it continue!!!

Yes it's a nice time to be an LFC supporter that's for sure, with our own performances,a front two the envy of the league and a manager really growing into the job and making us proud. The icing on the cake is Moyesy's army! I can't remember the last time we were shorter odds for the league than United!

think we've all got used to waiting for the ****in bubble to burst

the Arsenal game is (even more) massive now and three points there would really make people take us seriously for a title challenge let alone top four finish

        pop !

We have several players now who, I am absolutely sure, are thinking title rather than top 4 as the target. And I reckon BR is also on that.

Feel good? Hell yeah. It can all change in a few weeks but we just look pretty tasty right now, even looking at it without my rose tinted specs.

It's really hard not to look at the table and get a little bit of cautious excitement. We've got some big games coming up but we're genuinely in the title race at the end of October still, it's the first time in 5 years or so we could say that.

I'm sure like Tee said that a few are looking beyond the goal of finishing 4th and getting into the CL.

our league position suggests a 'feel good factor'
normally you would say we need to play the usual top teams before we can start to get a little bit giddy and think we might be top four [or even contenders] ourselves.
what can piss on our expectations is the few up and coming teams who really go for it, like southampton or swansea.
we have previously had the odd slip up against teams that should be fairly easy to take all three points off.

its always important to take the points were you can get them, and vitally important to take them off our rivals for the top four/five positions.
              six pointer games
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

This thread does have the kiss of death about it, doesn't it? The results may come and go but we're playing more positive football more of the time and I'm happy with that.

The feel good factor is great - but all our games so far have been against teams who will finish mid table. Until we play a genuine top four team we cannot be sure.
That said I do fancy our chances against any team in the league, especially with our front two in the form they are in.

Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Absolutely, but so far so good = Feel good factor.

Come on, we haven't had much to feel good about in the past few years.

Let's go on and beat Arsenal now, we've got the players to do it and we seem to be excellent on counter attack

TBF Savage was rating them two over Rooney & RVP, it was Hansen that favoured the latter.

and the whole "Fallin out of Love" is that because we weren't doing so well?
