On loan hopefully as we will no doubts strengthen in wide defensive areas in January and the summer

In fairness Bob a couple of decent games doesn't really change everything, he was very good today, and i believe that if he can consistently recereate that form he could really be an asset to the team.

But just as easily he could come out next week and be terrible.

Its like the opposite of writing someone off after one bad game, we just need to see how it plays out.

Gerrard is definitely in full Beckham mode now - chasing caps and a passenger for most of the game but incredible delivery from set pieces.
Partially at fault for two of the goals today.

Cruising around not offering much in open play few long raking balls but so slow in possession.. but his set piece delivery is fantastic & reaping production. And yup he was ball watching for those two goals.

There were lots of individual mistakes but I feel we were back to last season with regards to our defending. Conceding 3 is very poor but think of all the saves mignolet made. It's a damning indictment of that back four. Toure, Sakho, Cissokho Ilori were brought in to fix it and it was telling for me that none of them played today. To score 3 away shows there is not a lot wrong with our attack.

I'd have bitten your hand off for a point before the game and nothing I saw today changes that,they had numerous chances and Mig kept us in the game.Could have nicked the win if Allen didn't **** himself and Suarez had all the time in the world watching that ball fall for him for the header late on,should really be heading that downwards but what a save from Howard.I don't think we were great in attack today,we scored 3 from set plays and created very little else.

Lucas and Flanagan really good today,hopefully both can maintain that level.If you can't win the big ones away from home don't lose,point gained,lets take 9 from the next 9 please.

I was quoting someone who said he should right back now, well that was the way I read it, he needs more experience against decent players before being considered 1st choice here

he does need games and he put in a good shift today. With Enrique out this will help him for sure and I hope he grabs his chance

He will only get that experience from playing. I'm not saying he should be first choice but with Enrique out and Johnson being able to play on the left, this could be the time to give him a run.

He done ok at left back today, no point downgrading 2 positions just to give experience
