I still can't believe how good that was. We swarmed the second they had the ball and took back possession and then pressed forward at every opportunity.

It was relentless football. I hope this is a reflection of our fitness because we look ****ing good at the moment.

Over the last 38 league games we've won 81 points! That's got to be close to league winning?

One slight worry was Mignolet's distribution he was nearly caught out a couple of times and a better team would have punished us, need to improve that against City.

It's a constant worry, although I do think it's slowly improving. That shoulder barge on him was a clear foul yet the commentators would have you believe we got lucky there!

I thought Lloris's distribution was worse though. Appalling. His confidence is shot at the minute.

It was the sort of performance I dreamed about when Brendan took over. An absolute joy to watch. I do think we were helped partly by Spurs' ineptitude. We won't win 5-0 at City or Chelsea but still, don't want to take anything away from our boys who were amazing.

I have no idea how true it is, and it seems far-fetched, but I read yesterday that Rodgers has now been in charge for 38 games and we have picked up 81 points. Surely not.

what is good though is the performance - regardless of how ****e spurs where...we played brilliantly. And that must give us a massive confidence boost.

One question mark we've had over us was performing against a 'big' club away from home. Had we played **** and skanked a draw - we wouldn't have the same buzz/confidence that we will get from completely dominating a side. The players now know they are capable of doing it...and more importantly, it will have an impact on the mindset for City/chelsea - instead of being confident of the 3 points, a bet a few are eyeing our fixture with a bit of worry now.

And another plus which Carragher touched on....we've got the 3 points in 'early'. Beat Cardiff, and the pressure isn't as high going into the chelsea/city games.

Most of us said - if we can get 7 points from Spurs/Cardiff/Chelsea/City we'd be happy.

yeah it's a bit of worry. First minutes we ****ed about around the back and eventually mignolet shanked one for a throw in.

at some point, we will get caught out and it will cost us. I admire that we have a way of playing and try to stick to it, but there is a time and place for a good old fashioned punt down field

I have also noticied in the last 3 games, the opposition are onto us some what...and press quite high when mignolet has the ball

Yesterday, it worked for us, cause we kept the ball so sharply and the passing was crisp/direct and allowed us to cut straight through them.

But we still got lucky and had a few heart in mouth moments.

I'm confident that Mignolet will improve, it looks more of a nerves thing rather than a technical thing, which i can understand, he's prob never been asked in his life to play the ball from the back....playing for sunderland, his job was to just stop shots and then hoof the ****er, now he's been asked to be able to do a little more and it will take time....and it doesn't help us when we are used to Reina, who is the best around at playing football and made it look easy

I agree those side steps he keeps doing with an opposition players he will get caught out soon, it is something to work on but overall am still buzzing and keep smiling

I was there that day and I dont think anybody would have lived with us

To be honest Spurs didnt play too badly that day but they were very lucky it was only 7 it could easily have been twice that number

I think it is the wrong decision. Although I do think he needed to evolve some of his approach he should be given time to integrate all the new players before being written off.

I tend to agree although he never seems to learn about his high line defending tactic or using a lone striker who isn't suited to the job. Too inflexible.

Thats my favourite team well that and the season after that (virtually the same side)

They were ****ing relentless at times, I've seen sides at Anfield far easier on the eye than they were but I have never seen a more complete side than them

Whoever is in charge of their transfer policy needs looking at

They have signed tons of midfielders over the last 2 seasons

Sigurdsson, Dembele, Paulinho, Holtby, Eriksen, Chadli, Capoue

Thats just too many, its almost as though they are collecting them or hoping to buy them and make a profit on them
