Result, scoreline, and quality of play all massively satisfying. But what impressed me just as much was the sheer hunger and intensity we played with, great tackling, harrying of spurs players, chasing loose balls down, it was fantastic to watch and spurs just couldn't cope with it.
All focus now should be on getting the win v cardiff and hopefully the manager and squad can put the city and chelsea games out of their thoughts until after cardiff.

Thought Allen improved a lot today. Plenty of tackles, not afraid to get stuck in. Added great balance to the midfield, especially with Henderson playing central ahead of the holding two. Phil slightly wasted on the left at times. Struggled to make an impact until he started to drift in. Luckily Spurs were dog**** at full back or we could have been punished.

Awesome performance..... Although I thought that at times against west ham in the previous game we were spunktastic as well....
When Sturridge, Enrique, Gerrard all come back into the squad - and hopefully with one or two good additions - then we could have a very tasty squad starting to come together. When you consider that Agger can't get in the team, it all of a sudden has become very strong

I don't think they are always or even usually given. Think it was the right decision though and suspect that most people arguing otherwise are of the eighties 'he's still breathing so it can't be a foul' school of thought.Originally posted by Nigey View PostAlan Smith on Sky thought it was a bit of an unlucky red card.
