I certainly won't be complaining if Sterling does start, I just think Sterling will get doubled up on. I'd like to see a little guile through the centre and having both Alberto and Coutinho more central, I think they could cause some mischief.
Saying all that, I read an article in FourFourTwo about how Cardiff play a lop sided 4-3-3 with a lot of their play featuring heavily on their right. This could mean a lot of space for our right side and an opportunity for Johnson and Sterling to exploit. However, I think the article dated back to September so they may have altered their tactics recently.
Cardiff have won once away from home and managed only four goals. They've taken four points from Manchester United and Manchester City at home, but away from home I'm hoping (and believe) we will blow them out of the water.

Cardiff will play counter attack, and have their defence in and around the centre of the box to man up on Suarez. This will leave space out wide, and someone with pace like Sterling would make the best use of it.
