One thing i would most definitely worry about playing against Cardiff is set pieces. They are so dangerous from set pieces & we have conceded quite a few from corners & free kicks.

For a team like Spurs that play a high line and a passing game, you press them high up the pitch and look for runs from midfield to exploit the space in behind when you win it. We did that brilliantly.

If Cardiff do decide to sit back and look to hit us on the counter, then pressing high up the pitch risks giving them loads of space for an easy counte. You don't gain a great deal against that sort of team if you win it there anyway as there will still be loads of their players back. So the risk/reward of a high-intensity pressing game isn't as great. I reckon we'll drop back without posession, look to win it in our half and then either get the ball quick in to Coutinho and Suarez, or look to be patient in attack and drag them around the pitch if the quick ball isn't on.

Same team and formation for me though, with the option of Alberto or Aspas from the bench. An early goal will be important. (all assuming that is how Cardiff play, I've not seen much of them myself)

I think our game plan will be very similar to that.

Keep the possession and ball control for as much as possible and use Coutinho's creativity and Suarez ingenuity to break down the defense and find the net.

i think if we can score the first goal - and it is in the first half, then we will likely hammer them....... if they have to come out, then Coutinho, Suarez and Sterling could have a lot of fun.....

I am hoping to see Aspas, Moses and Jordan Ibe each get at least 30 minutes each on Saturday - because if i do, its likely to mean that Luis, Cout and Sterling have been taken off and we've pissed the ****in game.... it would be good to be able to rest Luis somewhat....

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has been told by owner Vincent Tan to resign or he will be sacked.

In a letter emailed to Mackay on Monday, it is understood Tan listed in depth his grievances with the Scot.
Tan criticised 41-year-old Mackay at length in a range of areas, such as signings, transfer budgets, results on the pitch and style of play.
The Malaysian businessman also questioned the former Watford manager's record as a boss.

Who on earth is going to touch that job really?

Mackay should play a team of kids against us and then walk away.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

McKay has got a good case for constructive dismissal. I imagine he'll be walking away with quite a bit of money and his reputation reasonably intact. Not sure if he'd get another job in the Premier League. May have to drop down to division one.

I thought that. Might be a good fit for them.
