Guardian reporting that Bellamy was offered the Cardiff managers job on a temporary basis but turned it down.

'In another remarkable development on Friday, it is understood that the Cardiff striker Craig Bellamy was asked if he would be willing to take charge of the team on a temporary basis, until a permanent manager is appointed. If they play well and get a result then wouldn't Vincent Tan be right? Mackay wants new players so a **** result would prove the manager right.

Actually a little anxious about this. The Cardiff players respect their manager and will be working so much harder to prove to Tan that he is wrong to want to fire him. I half expect every player to have the game of their lives, backs to the wall style!

They've certainly got something to play for. I rate McKay as a manager, he'll end up somewhere better than Cardiff at some point.
