Don't get me wrong - if we win the league I'll be f**king ecstatic - would love it

But as long as we finish top 4 it'll have been a great season & more of the gradual progression which we need to build on
City should finish top with their squad but unless Chelsea buy a decent CF we should be confident of finishing above them.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Just have to approach the game with no fear. Hendo/Allen need to swarm Yaya Toure, Sakho should match up well against Negredo but a little worried about Silva/Nasri. They could find a lot of space in the wider areas in and around our centre backs. Lucas can't be dragged out of position too much so Sterling and Coutinho will need to fill in at times.

Will be very interested to see if they use Kompany to shadow Suarez as Demichelis could get humiliated by El Pistolero if we get him one on one!

      I'm going 2-1 Liverpool!

To be fair Suarez could embarrass Kompany in this form. If Kompany does shadow a wandering Suarez that will leave Demechellis as the only covering defender. Good times.

Defensively we're not good enough to go to the Eithad and try to sneak a 1-0, IMO. We've got to go there and attack them.

I think Brendan realised that after the Arsenal game when our approach changed and it back fired. You could see from the Spurs approach that he's realised our best defence is attack.

Its warming how Brendan goes about his business quietly under the radar.

It's also good to see that he seems to learn from his mistakes.

We should go into this with no fear at all. We should have won there last year if it had not have been for Reina doing his no mans land routine.

I think we will win this 2-1

A point at City would be a great result, maybe with a bit of luck or Suarez magic we could get something more but this is type of game we can just go for with nobody expecting us to pick up anything.

Most teams who went to the Emirates this year played defensively (bar Arsenal), so I guess it'll be a different proposition for them on Thursday, as we're arguably the best counter attacking side in the league. They've had problems with teams having a go at them this season and I can't see that changing. Key is how we deal with their power and attacking prowess. Not having Aguero in there surely is a bonus for us, but they might be feeling the same with Sturridge and Gerrard out.
                      Are we winning?

                        Isn't counter attacking inherently a defensive set-up?

we need to adopt the high tempo double pressing game we played against tottingham. sitting back will get us bummed.
brendan needs to be acutely aware that the high tempo will mean timely substitutions of any player who is flagging under the work load to ensure we are strong across the pitch.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

The Arsenal game was over before it began. 3 defenders on one 'decent' striker. 3 vs 5 in midfield where the majority of Arsenal's best players ply their trade.
                            Daft, absolutely daft.
