If we can become the first visiting team to take something from the Eitihad it will do wonders for our already excellent confidence levels heading into the Chelsea game, especially if we put in a good performance to get it.
I think this will be a cracker of a game and we have every chance of a great result.
I've heard from many rival fans that IF we beat Chelsea and City then we are the real deal for the title and it's hard to argue with that.
Apart from the odd bad result which happens to all top teams, we've been excellent and displayed a number of different systems and qualities.
Rodgers is the real deal for me and I think we'll have a real good go. I still reckon we'll finish 3rd which is a bloody amazing achievement considering it was only a few years ago we had a senile old cunt in charge of team affairs.
Aguero and Zabaleta out is massive.. although we have Gerrard,Sturridge & Enrique.
It's going to take a performance like vs Spurs to take points here. No way it's going to be a 0-0. Huge game for our midfield, need to keep Yaya & Silva quiet..... how we do that i have no idea!
We have to play with the same intensity & energy we showed against Spurs. At the same time though.. their defence is poxy and DeMichelles is a walking mistake. Like to see Coutinho have more influence, wonderful talent but is just missing the spark he had last season.
Anyways the toughest game of our season on paper and would be great to get anything out of it.
My city supporting mate reckons that they will mullah us on the break if we try to pressure them on the ball like we did Spurs. He reckons everyone who has tried to take the game to them has been hammered there. I've got a funny feeling that they could be in for a shock if thats what they think. I'm looking forward to this game more than Christmas lol, and my kids have £100s worth of lego to keep them quiet on boxing day. (Big) If we can somehow manage to steal the 3 points something massive could happen this season. I can't freaking wait.

Just leaving Melwood after Brendan Rodgers' pre Man City press conference. Jon Flanagan is a doubt for Boxing Day, hamstring problem.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
FFS! Kelly starting will be a mess. Need that proper full back playing in our current set up. Assume Ally Cissokho will be sent back in January as it seems he's miles away from starting it appears.
We have a better goalkeeper and a better striker (certainly with Aguero being out), but they are stronger everywhere else. Who knows, if we did win it would be amazing. I can see us beating Chelsea, but not feeling very optimistic about the City game.
We'd have a better striker if Aguero was in and Suarez was limping.
We completely outplayed them at their place last season so I don't see any reason why we won't do the same on Boxing Day. They're incredibly over-rated
