I think we'll beat Chelsea anyway so it won't be the end of the world if we lose against City.
But I have a feeling we'll draw.
I'd take a draw if it was offered prior to the match. The Arse get spanked there so it would be a huge lift for everyone if we got a point at there place.
Anything could happen in this game, we do have the quality to win it. Us and City are the two best teams in the Premiership right now. I think we'll lose because City are very strong at home, but if any team can cause an upset there then it's us.
If we could get out in front it might help keep their crowd quiet for a bit, this is going to be one tough ****ing game but we like them are in cracking form and we do have a guy that can't stop scoring in Suarez.
If we do lose today it's also not going to be the end of the world as City will steamroll most sides at home.
Jon Flanagan is set to miss the rest of Liverpool’s festive schedule – but skipper Steven Gerrard is on track to make a comeback earlier than expected.
The 20-year-old full-back’s run of six successive Premier League starts has been ended by a hamstring injury.
Flanagan has been ruled out of today’s trip to Manchester City and is also expected to sit out the matches against Chelsea and Hull City.
“Jon had a tight hamstring going into the game against Cardiff last weekend and as it got worse we had to take him off,” said boss Brendan Rodgers.
“It looks like he will be out for a number of weeks with a strain. It’s a blow because Jon has been brilliant for us since he came into the side.
“It leaves me with 17 players going into the busiest schedule of the season. That’s not ideal but it gives a chance for players who have been on the outside to come in and contribute.”
I really don't understand why Rodgers risked Flanagan in the Cardiff game when he knew his hamstring was tight. It's not the first time we've done this and it' backfired.
